18 november 2014. remember how I kept saying that come christmas time there'll be nothing on Ps4 to compete with the halo collection, and that there's LBP3 but that's hardly competiton for halo?

Ps4's big release next month is dc.

a few weeks (or months at this point) back I was saying that the xbone was going to grossly outsell the Ps4 this christmas, and that is due to the fact that there will be a halo game coming out with nothing on the Ps4 to compete with. Myself and others brought up LBP3, but that is definitely nothing to compete with halo.

I called target with the hopes that they still had their target hat sackboy available with preorder, turns out the lady didn't even know what I was talking about. so I just ended up preordering at amazon.

Tearaway is proof that a 3D LBP is possible, and that is exactly what needs to be on Ps4.

Think about it... in LBP3 you could MAKE Mario 64!

It was also extremely disappointing to see that LBP3 is again another side scroller. I was really hoping to finally see LBP in fully 3D gameplay.

Yeah, this is a biggie. You can now create worlds that are fully 3D, shifting the camera behind the player, and making them the centre of the experience. On the surface, this means you can make proper 3D platformers like Super Mario 3D Land. In fact, don't be surprised if there are a bunch of Mario clones already online when you get the game.

However, the community has already been using it for more ambitious purposes. The screen above is from Project "HILL" Retro Horror Experience by ACDRAMON, which is a cross between Resi 2 and Silent Hill 2. The creator uses the new camera angle to replicate the look and feel of classic survival horror, and employs the new transition system to let players open doors and appear in new rooms. From here, they can even find and read notes and diary pages... just like Resi and 'Hill. Amazing.

that's cool that there will be fully 3D level making tools, but it's still not a full implementation if the campaign is still 2.5D. if the campaign was fully 3D then I could call this a 3D platformer. for the most part, this is still 2 dimensions with an option of 3D on the side which means most of the tools will still be based around that (2D).

as well, i'm not expecting to see the campaign having many if any 3D levels. hopefully the next installment will do that.

I don't see how the sackboy with the Target hat is better ha.

I'd just go with the normal one and if you want to put a hat on it, shop around and look for your own.

I keep mine from LBP2 Collector's Edition with me at work haha
