Best/Favorite Ending Scene

Ewan was the young obi-wan Alec was the older. He died when he was older.

Yea Ewan McGregor is a great actor.

Yea has anyone seen A Life Less Ordinary with McGregor and Diaz? The ending to that is messed up, you gotsta see it.

Dath Vader died old too, hence the original ending, that is why it should not be Christensen.

But Lucas' justification was that Anakin died when he turned into Darth Vader, thus his true form died.

My fave ending scene is Sleepway Camp

God.....

i think TDK had the best ending scene of a hero.

thats how you end a movie about a badass hero.

The ending of Almost Famous was great. Russell going to what he thought was Penny Lane's house, instead going to William's and William finally getting his interview with Russell.

The ending of "The Notebook". I cry a little everytime.

Cast Away
The Shawshank Redemption
The Usual Suspects
The Dark Knight
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Batman Begins
Batman Returns
Batman 1989

Star Wars V: Empire Strkes Back.

The Empire Strikes Back - the music, the shot of Luke and Lea facing the window looking out at the fleet... all that'd happened up to that point charging the scene with emotion.
Epic.

Resevoir Dogs, come on thats great.

Evil Dead 2, just because it is random as hell, or even more random
Army of Darkness, Hail to the King, Baby!

Fight Club, buildings blowing up to the sound of the Pixies is amazing

and the prestige, just because the image of a store room of 100 floating jackman corpses is freaking rediculous.

And children of men, just as everyone else went away when their purpose was served, Theo just had to die, but the image of the black chick now alone in the boat in the fog is just so stark, i mean apearantly it ended well, but seriously just damn...

if i had to choose just one though, definitly fight club.

I never thought I would of liked it but my girlfriend made me watch Brokeback Mountain last week. I gotta say, what a brilliant film, how did Heath not get the Oscar, and how did Jake not get nominated?

The ending is just so heartbreaking, from when Ennis goes into Twist's house and finds the shirt with his blood on to the ending where he is just staring into space all alone in his little shack. Closest i've come to crying in donkeys years.
Its one of my fav films. Heath does one of the most brilliant performances ever.

Jake WAS nominated. But for supporting actor.

Heartbreaking and heartwarming, goosebumps and a small tear.

The Prestige
Very disturbing and insane twist, brilliant acting. Chilling.

Burn After Reading
Hilarious, how can you not love JK Simmons?

The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three
Probably the funniest ending shot EVER. Walter Matthau is God.

Rope
Intense speech by Stewart, very good use of both sound and light and a very good final shot.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Freezeframes and narration can be quite crappy, but it is used brilliantly here.
