She's great on chuck and i've thought about her for lois too, but really watch her and try to picture her as lois, along the lines of Terri Hatcher...i can't see it. Nice actress just not a great fit for the role imho.

And it doesn't matter whose directing. Nolan directing Batman Begins didn't stop Katie Holmes from being cast.

Olivia Wilde would be a good Lois.

hands down best choice for this new restart is Odette yustman. She looks perfect, can act well, and reminds me of Terri Hatcher which can't be a bad thing.

That's bull****. She's a leading lady in mainstream movies. Sorry that I don't want my 13-year old daughter playing the most respected reporter in the world.

I'm quoting this from like ten pages back because it is the truth. I saw Up In The Air and literally hated it - but Vera Farmiga...well, wow. After that movie alone, she's on my list of "top women". So amazingly sexy. Whatever "it" is, she's got it.

If you guys are looking for hot, funny, talented and able to do "hard-as-nails", why not Kristen Bell? I know heaps of people will hate the idea...but just think about it. Before anyone says she's too young, she's like thirty. Just getting that out of the way.

I've thought about it, and I don't think Biel would be that bad in the role at all. Not a massive Biel fan, to be honest, but it's a decision which kind of makes sense to me. While I adore Marion Cotillard, I say no to the suggestion of her a few pages back. While I support her for Catwoman, she's too soft to play Lois. I know that doesn't make sense, but I see room in Catwoman's character for her to be playful more than tough, and in Selina's to be a little more nurturing than bad-ass. She just wouldn't do a good job as Lois, IMO.

I have seen Zooey Deschanel suggested a few times. I like her look, and I think she has the right amount of spunk in her to make a good Lois.

Zooey is so boring on screen, I don't see how anyone sees her as Lois other than the look, which isn't that great compared to other mentioned here. Her voice will drive anyone crazy. Emily Blunt is a much better choice if you want someone with that dark hair fair skin look. And a much better actress.

i would go with blunt, and wilde myself, i wouldnt mind zooey too. But for me i would like to know how they will be playing the character of lois and clark so i could have better calls in mind for roles. Yes we may not be getting a full on origin movie. But it could still start out being a clark kent around like 27-30yrs coming to the planet, and lois who is around the same age probably been there for a few yrs. So for me with the actors range of 24-34 they would probably go with. There is many folks i would like that fall into the younger end of the scale, and some on the older side of the scale.

I agree. She lacks range and talent.

Regal also lacks talent and is terribly overrated.

After see Zooey Deschanel I think that she is simply the best choice to play Lois Lane!
She reminds Margot Kidder sometimes (but of course Zooey is more beautiful than her),she looks perfect to me!!!

Anne Hathaway has turned my second choice now.

I agree. I think of all the choice made for Lane and all the characters people have tied Zooey to I think Lois would be her best.
