i think Wilde is to skinny. but they way she acts in her roles is good for Lois. there is something in her eyes and voice that would work.

i got that a bit from her as well, but she's visually the closest to what i think Lois should look like and she's a pretty talented actress and i'm sure that if her character is written well she would refrain from going to her 9 year old type mannerisms and expressions.

edit: you were right about her voice though. she's got a girly voice. i'd still take her over the likes of Wilde though. she's got more on-screen charisma and delivers her lines more naturally. Wilde just kinda stares at her co-stars and delivers the lines pretty straightforward.

That Snyder cast a 27 year-old further makes it unlikely this is the "beginning" of Superman.

This is Cobie Smulders. She is on that show with Neil Patrick Harris, "How I Met Your Mother."

This girl has a great 'Lois' look and I could easily imagine her onscreen playing against Cavill. Good choice

I think Cobie Smulders is gorgeous but I'm very doubtful she'll ever be cast in any of these comic book roles.

Mandy Moore looks great as well but she is very girly looking and sounding and she isn't a good enough actress to hide this fact.

Just looked at IMDb's Fresh Faces to see if I'd find anyone that looked like they could be Lois. I know nothing of their acting skills, but these women stuck out to me as possibilities depending on what they want the character to be like...

Yep, seems like there's about as much chance of a lesser known actress getting a look in as there is the Pope becoming an atheist. Looks as if they're going for a named actress.

Cobie Smulders - great choice. She looks like someone who could stand next to Superman. Notice how she has similar colors to Cavill - the eyes, the hair... Plus, she looks like someone who wouldn't bother with Clark Kent at first but eventually you can picture them together.

Fanboys got Cavill as Superman, so who knows. Too bad that she is not mentioned that much...

Cobie would be an interesting choice, she's definitely got a more Lois vibe than those who have been mentioned so far. I just think this Lois Lane role would be the perfect opportunity to give some lesser known actress a shot, this list that's floating around feels like they're trying to find someone with some sort of name first and foremost and not trying to find a Lois Lane.

No. None of the names mentioned lately are that well known. McAdams and Biel are probably the most well known, but even then they're not that big.

So, they'd be fine finding an unknown that fits the role more than the usual suspects who are always named in casting speculation.

It's not really about them being a big draw, but it's a helpful selling point. It's a name, more than Cavill's.

Who ever the villain is I think will be a pretty big name.
