No, Square's best RPG has got to be Star Ocean 3.

If the voice acting (american) was better, that game would be number 1 in my book. I played the jap version after playing the amer version (new **** int he jap one like new end dungeons and ****) and it was infinitly times better.

And the twist in that game was one of the best. Ever.

Played a little of it last night at my boy's place....got to the part where your character(mine was female Shepard) sleeps with Liara. It did earn its M-rating, softcore Skinemax as it was.

Oh, that's fair. I forgot that Star Ocean 3 was done by Square. I tend to forget a lot about Squarecrap, but that's just me.

Agreed. I loved Star Ocean 3. Then I lost it before I beat it. I should find it again.

Completely disagreed. I find Mass Effect one of the best RPGs in recent years and I try to play as many RPGs as possible.
Sure, it's no Baldur's Gate 2 but is way better than most of recent RPGs.

Actually, it's the longest game I've played, and my original save file was at something like 160 hours before I finally stopped it.

Took like 50 before I killed the last boss though.

They must have ignored Male Shepard who has been universally panned as being terrible (just like I originally complained about, we can add this to my list of "I was right" along with Denton and co agreeing with my 8.5 for Halo 3).

I win.

Female Shepard was great though,a s was the rest of the voice acting.

I just finished the game and i thought it was pretty damn good, id give it a solid 9 outta 10. It looked amazing, the voice acting was spot on the controls/combat was fluid and fun and the game had a great story. It didnt have as many "WOW" moments for me as say Oblivion but the game was just so solid. I beat the game in 12 hours but i didnt do any side missions, just the main story. As long as you dont hate RPG's and well even if you do, i suggest picking this game up...but im sure most of you already have.

Yeah it sounded good to me too. The only voice acting I didn't really like was Kaidan.

Kaidan was a pansy, and personally, the only actually bad part of the game for me. He can go eat a dick and choke on it.
