All awards are subjective so really who cares if he won or not? Any one of the people nominated could have won and it would have still been deserved.

That said he was AMAZING in 12 Years a Slave. The problem is he was amazing at making you absolutely despise his character and want him dead, so maybe that's why voters didn't crown him. To have him win over Chiwitel would have been off putting as well, and Chiwitel clearly wasn't the favorite in that category.

The fact is that 12 Years a Slave and Dallas Buyers Club are both movies people need to see. They both won the necessary awards to make people give them a look, and to that I say bra-vo Academy!

And yet, he doesn't kill the guards. He smacks them hard--they are out for the count, but the metal balls bounce away. I wonder what that says about his character at that moment.

Yeah she's always stood out to be too, but I think that's just an unintended effect of the composition of the shot. I don't think she's anyone important. Looking at the screencap here:

I think there are other pictures with her just below, along the thread. I think she was either a target or someone he was tracking to get to a target.

I remember before First Class came out there were talks of making a solo Magneto movie, and I scoffed at that idea. Now with Fassbender, I hope they will reconsider that idea again because I can definitely see him headlining his own movie.
