He is one of the most loved characters from the trilogy, so I thought it's time to talk about him and his possible return in X4 or any next sequel.

What do you think about it?

Would you like to see him again?

Any ideas?, any scene you would love to see?, Interaction with any x-men in particular?

Post your comments!

I'd like to see more Nightcrwaler. I don't think Alan Cumming would return as Nightcrawler though.

he told the proffessor he didn't feel right here, or something lame and the Proffessor was like "oh sure, good luck wherever you go"

or something sorta unsatisfying like that

Someone in these boards said he commented he would return for X3, but as we all know they cut the character in X3. I think if Fox want him for X4 and pay him well, he'll return. And I think at the end, he would like to do a new x-men film, and repeat with the old friends and the new ones.

My opinion.

In the case Kurt returns, which relationship would you like they explore with him?

I mean, interaction with the rest of the team, a close friendship with anyone?

I haven't written him into my script just yet (I'm almost there), but here are my basic plans:

-Storm, Logan, Kitty, and Warren fly to Boston to stop a group of Mutant extremists named the Marauders in their attacks on weaker mutants and cure patients (the reason I'm sending these is so Bobby/Rogue/Gambit and Colossus/Illyana storylines can develop while they're gone)

-They save a mutant from and attack, and it turns out to be Nightcrawler, but it is unknown why they attacked him since he's not a weak mutant. (the Sentinels are also introduced in this scene)

-A brief outline of why he left (basically that he didn't like the violence, the official reasons that have already been given).

-Kurt's friendship with Storm re-emerges, though the main focus would be a kinship that develops with Warren. He reaches out to Warren, who is angry at God for the rejection he faces from his father and the rest of the world for being a mutant. Warren takes on the mutant name "Angel" after a comment Kurt makes about Warren's appearance.

-Then, of course, I want him to be in the final battle against the Sentinels. :)

Then, in X5, I'm planning to turn the cure into the Legacy Virus. Before it becomes evident that this effect from the cure is contagious, Kurt shows symptoms, and reveals that he had taken the cure during his absence. This angers Warren, as he had looked up to and admired Kurt. In a fit of anger, Warren leaves the Mansion, and ends up being tracked down by Dr. Nathaniel Essex and lured into joining the Four Horsemen, where he gets metal wings and takes on the name "Archangel".

BTW, I'd love for Alan Cumming to return as Nightcrawler; but if he doesn't want to, then I think a recast would be acceptable considering he's been gone for an entire movie now.

If he did come back, his closest homies should be Shadowcat and Colossus, the original Excalibur trifectia. I wouldn't see him starting up a "close" relationship of the romantic variety with any of his teammates, but maybe a student at the institute or *gasp* a humie. Maybe have the same kind of relationship that the Thing has with Alicia Masters, something like that. Someone different, yet the same.

Yes, I always thought and will think that the reason why they didn't use him was because of Beast (and Mystique too, of course). I'm 100% sure they didn't want 3 blue mutants in the same film.

And with Alan not happy with the make up process, they decided to let him out.

So I think Alan isn't a big problem, they just have to pay him well.

i think if nightcrawler is in another they should hint that mystique is his mother, They should also give him more action scenes

How do you think they should introduce Kurt in X4?

I mean, any explanation... He being already in the school, some months after X3, with some words about why he returned, or showing his return during the film, being him in another place, and then any of the x-men meets with him, or he comes to the school after some event...

what would you preffer?

In my script, the Marauders attack weak mutants and cure patients on the streets. The X-Men go on a mission to stop them; and when they interrupt an attack, it turns out the victim was Kurt. The reason for the attack won't be made clear until X5, though: Kurt was a cure patient (obviously, the cure will have worn off by the time they meet again).

I remember reading that part.

In my opinion, he should be already in the school, with Storm saying a few words about his return, after the events of X3. Because if he returns during the film, they'll have to give him a few explanations about the absence of Jean, Xavier, and maybe Scott too, and that will be a bit weird, don't know...

Not really. The events of Alcatraz and the death of MLK-esque Xavier would have to be world-famous. There's almost no way he wouldn't know. The only one he might not know is Scott, but that probably wouldn't even need a mention in the movie because it's not nearly as drastic as the death of Xavier and the Phoenix saga. If you want, maybe there could be a conversation like "Where's Scott?" "He passed away during the events of the Phoenix." Just something simple like that, if anything at all.

Eh, seeing as how Nightcrawler and Cyke had at most two lines between them, I doubt he'd even bring it up...

What would be your idea, iamlegend?

My point exactly. If anything, just something small. Personally, I don't think there should be any mention, I'm just saying that if somebody wants to bring it up, keep it short. :cwink:

Apart from his return to the school, what other ideas you have about Kurt for X4 (supposing he is there)?

Although, I have written him into my script since I made that post. :)
