Since I'm one of the few around these parts who still love Nintendo, it's only right that I create the E3 thread as I did last year.

Nintendo has purchased the time for a two hour event/conference this year, which is different than their usual 1 hr show. This will be good due to the new hardware they will be showing, but hopefully will also give plenty of time for new games/software.

So as far as things we know will be at E3:

3DS
Zelda Wii
Vitality Sensor

Things I hope to see during their conference:

Pikmin 3 - Please Nintendo
Starfox Wii - Double please
Retro's new game
New info on Sakurai's new studio and what they are working on

I potentially think this could be a great year for Nintendo, as it started off strong with SMG2, Sin & Punishment 2, Monster Hunter Tri, and Metroid: Other M.

They have some great stuff lined up for the rest of the year, including awesome DS games like Golden Sun and Dragon Quest IX (which is being published by Nintendo). With all this awesome stuff early in the year it leaves alot of room for new games in the second half of the year.

I'm really looking forward to tons of info on the 3DS, which sounds very interesting, and I'm even looking to get some info on the Vitality Sensor and hopefully some uses for it in-game. Also I'm hoping to get news that Xenoblade and The Last Story are being localized, as well as info on Wii Party (which they announced in Japan and is the spiritual successor to Mario Party, which looks oddly compelling.)

No matter what happens, I can't wait for E3 to start, as all three companies need to come out swinging and show us why we still care about this industry. :D

You know, I'm not the biggest Nintendo fan, in fact I've been pretty tough on them, but I have to hand it to them they kicked butt this year, what a great conference!!!:up: They actually sold me, I'm buying a Wii and a 3DS, what a great lineup they have, I'm very impressed, what did you guys think???:awesome::up:

I can´t stop clapping.
It was the best press conference of E3 (i can´t see Sony being better, even if they have a great one), even more, one of the best in the last two years.

And Nintendo will, once again, own the holyday season.
Nintendo 3DS will kill the Playstation Movie and Microsoft Kinect (the failure waiting MS will be incredible), and the games will crush in the software department.
Goldeneye, Epic Mickey, Kirby and Donkey Kong make give the crown to Nintendo.

PS - Even if it was unintended, i loved how Nintendo b**ch slapped Microsoft and Rare, with Goldeneye and Donkey Kong Country Returns

The 3DS looked great, but I was disappointed by Zelda and the GoldenEye remake. Kirby "epic" Yarn looked downright high. Overall I give Nintendo a solid B.

I have to say Kirby looks sweet and Kid Icarus is back baby....in 3D:cwink:

I just read that Star Fox 64 3d was announced..heck yes!

They started off a bit shaky with some of the technical difficulties with Zelda...but it looks nice.

But then came Golden Sun, Kirby,Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, 3DS with Kid Icarus, Star Fox, and PAPER MARIO.

Yes, Nintendo came out swinging.

I'm not worried about the technical gaffes in the LoZ:SS demo. I'm going to be playing it within 5 feet of my Wii and TV, not in a huge auditorium.

I'm very happy with their show.

Skyward Sword looks fun. I just hope the controls don't make it a chore to play.

Mario Sports Mix I'm interested in. I've enjoyed Mario Tennis, Baseball, and Soccer so I'll keep my eye on this.

Epic Mickey looks very good. And it's Warren Spector.

I'm ****ing stoked for Donkey Kong Country Returns (wish it was a better name though). I LOVED the DKC games on SNES. This looks like that but on steroids, so much more going on.

Kirby Epic Yarn, I'm the least excited for. It looks interesting but I don't like that Kirby is an outline like everything else, he should be a solid color.

Goldeneye Remake should be good.

Nintendo definitely had the best show.

the worst news is the next zelda games comes out next year....... i was expecting it this year oh well

Please tell me there's a new Super Smash Brothers in the works.

Nintendo owned this year's E3. They brought out all of their franchises, Reggie is back to being awesome, the 3DS looks awesome, almost no shovelware, and best of all no Cammie.

No, nothing was revealed though that was the greatest press conference of E3 this year easily. If you go to IGN, they confirm that the 3ds is amazing, the swordplay works perfectly for Zelda and Goldeneye doesn't suck. Here's a list of 3DS games confirmed: Kid Icarus, Star Fox 64, Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Pilotwings, Super Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil. I want to see someone please try and bash the 3DS.

There's enough coming out this year. I hope it comes out in the first half of 2011.

Please tell me there's a new Super Smash Brothers in the works.

Smash Bros is a once-per-gen game.

Great press conference Nintendo had, easily the best of the year. Nearly every game featured is a must-buy or close to it, and the 3DS has an amazing lineup.

Kid Icarus on its own made up for all of Nintendo's past lackluster E3s.

The 3DS looks absolutely amazing and that line up has some huge names both Nintendo franchises and third party franchises. I will definitely try my best to get one as soon as possible after it's released.

It's really a shame that the 3DS is getting titles that Nintendo's home consoles have never had.

Star Fox
Kid Icarus
Donkey Kong
Street Fighter
MGS
Dead or Alive
A Resident Evil game that played like a REAL RE game

When was the last time the Wii had any of those titles?

You are right

FACEPALM

The 3DS's graphics are on par with the Wii's. Easy mistake :embarrassed:

I find it very funny that in this E3 Nintendo had the least casual conference of the big three...they only had really two games that could claim to be casual. The rest was pure awesome gameness. :D

I find it funny how Nintendo actually unveiled content worth discussing on these boards, unlike its competitors, yet the Sony and Microsoft E3 topics are getting far more attention.
