Switch The Official Nintendo Switch|2 Thread - Part 2

What would make me excited is if they announced a new Punch-Out or some Gamecube games that either haven't already been ported or already haven't had HD remasters. I know people want the Metroid Prime Trilogy or Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD to come to the Switch, but I have my Wii U for those.

One of the games has leaked.

Octopath Traveler 2

Good Direct. Fire Emblem, Octopath 2, Zelda release date, with some fun surprises, like a new Fatal Frame remake.

Direct really sucked…except Zelda of course. but 3min of absolutely brilliance can’t save 40 mediocre minutes.
It’s about time for a Switch exclusive DK title

Sadly, if Retro was working on one, it got put on pause for them to save Metroid Prime 4.

I liked the Direct, though, the number of farming related games was pretty comical.

Not a leak anymore, but something official. And quite pleasing, probably the highpoint of the Direct for me. There is no such thing as too much 2D-HD.

Well I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mario Party 1/3 and Pilotwings 64 will be coming to NSO. Especially considering they weren't in the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles.

man I was just cruising Facebook and from time to time they have links to older and newer consoles for sale (older ones are refurbished) but the prices my god! One 'listing' was for a Switch with the Mario red joy cons, a carry case, and a voucher for 20 bucks in the eshop for 650. From what I remember the Switch with the red cons was a Mario Kart bundle which was what version of Switch I had in the past years ago so it is obviously a first gen model (not the one with the bigger internal memory/better battery which is the one I have now), and chances are that code is expired lol. Why would anybody pay 650 for that when you can get the OLED model alone for half that?

I mean, is there any evidence that people *are* paying that much? Someone can list an item for sale at whatever price they wish, it doesn't force anyone to actually buy it.

Compared to previous advantages, Break seems kind of nuts.

upgraded to an OLED model a buddy of mine bought one the other day but did not like it that much and hated the prices of the games even used so I bought it off of him and I plan on selling my 2nd gen model towards the price.

What are the improvements of the OLED model?

in hand held mode the screen is wider than the standard switch and it is an well and OLED over the standard screen, has 64gb of internal memory (over the 32gb in the smaller one), and in docked mode the dock has a ethernet jack if you don't want to go wifi. I also think the battery is a little better and from what I heard at a friend of mine who is a manager at a gamestop the OLED model has much sturdier analog sticks on the joy cons.

Great, good to know, thanks.

oh and funny enough it has one less USB port the old model had in the dock a HDMI, Power, and USB, the OLED model just has HDMI, Power, and Ethernet.
