The Official Parallax Thread!

I know there have been discussions here and there about the character and his role, but I'm surprised there isn't a thread discussing the big bad fear entity himself.

So here goes, I suppose. Feel free to post pictures and etc.

From what I've seen so far, it looks like

the Guardian Krona releases/finds Parallax, and becomes possessed by him (resulting in the big, Guardian-headed smoke monster we see in the trailers).

I'm interested as to whether Parallax

gets separated from Krona and we get to see the insectoid-like creature that was revealed months ago

Either way I like the look so far. What do you guys think?

I'm hoping to see that. I'm wondering what his origins will be in the movie.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if they incorporate the whole thing about there being an entity for each colour of the spectrum, or if they just characterize him as a simple alien parasite.

For the movie, I guess the parasite route would be easier, but I really wanna see something like Ion in a sequel. t: Either way, it looks like Parallax comes from the big Sinstro Corps. symbol thingy (a prison perhaps?)

Parallax is fear entity. Its basically the living fear, and this is its purpose: inflict fear on every single living creature in the universe.

Oh I know dude.

I was just referring to how Parallax looked in regards to the film, that's all.

I know the toys have the whole corpse/monster look for what its body is comprised of, but I wasn't sure if they followed through with that for the film...to me it looked like "smoke" with the yellow tinges. But re-watching the trailer I can see the jaws of monsters and stuff forming out of the "smoke" that i was referring to.

Parallax is one of my favorite characters (you can probably tell) and I'm very glad to see it translated to film.

Clancy Brown is in to voice Parallax!

The voices for the cgi characters have been top notch so far. I wonder who they are getting to voice the Guardians. Parallax is finally looking like a main villain that will give us a nice climax. The Kraken from Clash of the Titans (new version) and Thor's battle with the Destroyer come to mind when there was potential for a great battle but just ended up very flat. Kraken was very disappointing. I'm hoping Parallax will be the first true great universal threat in a comic related film.
