They might do it off camera. And we just hear the sounds of the skull splitting and his pain riddled screams. That would still be pretty cool.

For some reason I don't think they'll do it that big like how he is in the comics because it's on the fence of looking dumb if they can't nail down a good look for him.

i'm kinda shocked at some of the comments being made about the movie.

I've read "Oh Sinestro is not in the movie? EPIC FAIL" on twitter and I'm like..when they announce the casting of Blake Lively the week before, the trades made it clear that Sinestro is in the movie. weird.

Sarsgaard is a great choice. He has the look of a villain, so I'm happy he was chosen for Hammond. Funny how is wife starred in superhero flick and now he is, heh.

Now give us Isaacs as Sinestro and we're in business.

Sarsgaard is a very solid choice for Hector. I'm a big fan of his work; I think I've liked him in everything I've seen him in. He's very versatile... he can play a vicious bastard, and can also be a suave ladies' man if they go that route with the character too. Now, onto Sinestro!

Yeah, Sarsgaard has that creepy, sleazy look to him where you figure he is up to something no good.

Joaquin Phoenix has that same look.

Yes. It's one big stay in school psa. Though in later stories he became catatonic and was only able to communicate via telepathy. Which is when he really started just going insane.
