Can you copy music/videos onto the PS4 or does the USB stick need to stay in?I rememebr people on here saying Sony would never add MKV or TS support and Im glad they did in addition to the popular MP4 format. I just tried the thing and its pretty bare bones. Hopefully they add more features to it in future updates, but I cant really complain as they finally put this out there

Hmm, Ok. I wouldn't mind putting a few songs onto my PS4 but I don't really need to.I didnt see an option to copy so I assume its just like the Music player, in that it needs to stay in
what I havent tried was the DLNA. I need to figure out how to configure my PC to do that bc Im really excited to see how much faster it is than the PS3
Just got my DLNA set up and it takes a small bit of time to load up the folders depending on how many videos you have but playback and FF/RW is fast! It would stutter and have to load up on the PS3 but its almost instantaneous here, even on bigger files (tried one that was 3.5gb)
The one thing thats bothering me though is that there is only one speed to FF/RW and its rather fast, making it pretty useless if you want to do a quick replay of something. The D-pad also has no functionality as I expected that to control the speeds like with the PS3. A skip ahead or back feature would also be welcomed.
Oh and you cant resize videos here. I have some SD videos that I wish I could stretch out to widescreen but you cant
So I originally pre-ordered a PS4 when it was first announced two years ago, but I ultimately let my brother handle the purchase and keep it since I knew I couldn't afford it since I was planning to quit my job at the time. But my mentality was there's hardly any games I want and I want to give a year or two for all the bugs to be sorted out.
It's two years later, and I'm saving up some money. Is it safe to say that this holiday season would be a great time to get a PS4? I definitely want to pick up Remasters like TLoS, Tomb Raider and GTA V, but I also want to finally play AC: Unity and Infamous: Second Son, and eventually Arkham Knight. Maybe even the Witcher 3.
I'm just wondering if its finally worth it to move to next gen., in terms of there actually being great games that aren't broken.
I can't see them abandoning PS Now.
They've sunk a lot of time and money into that.

So do I need to update my ps4 for the media player stuff or what?
just give me a media remote like PS3 for PS4 and I am (almost) a happy camper![]()
yes. I would say this holiday would be a good time to get a PS4.
you'll probably get more for your money, too, this holiday since the 1TB model should be released by then and most likely will go for the current $400.
I dunno if this is to you I said but it's possible this year sony might give the Ps4 a pricecutYup. This is me. Waiting until the holiday season or Black Friday maybe.
So glad they finally added the media player. Woot.

oh, if Sony follows MS pricing, then the current 500GB model will be cut to $350 and the new 1TB model will go for $400.
eh, I mean, I dunno how much the average 1TB HD goes for but if I were you I'd just get the model that comes with it. But it's up to you.Ok. Would it be better to get the 500 GB model and then just upgrade the HDD myself?
