so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Media Player app, hoping that would get rid of the USB Music Player app.

but the blasted thing is still there, and unlike other apps, there is no option to delete it! :argh:

Sorry. That sucks. All I can say is wait for a firmware update and/or just deal with it. It doesnt take up that much space

I have a huge noob question, if someone could kindly direct me to the right place or answer here would be much appreciated but what is the point of game applications and how do the sizes differ so much? Batman: Arkham Knight takes like 51gb and Witcher 3 is only 30ish gb, whiles games like Styx that you can now get for free on PSN Plus come with a small 5-7gb size, what is up with these? Are these truly necessary to run the games or do I simply have some "auto-download" setting up that I can disable?

EDIT: I just can't fathom that modern games should/would take so much space, so how about a better question: Recommended 1-2 TB hard drives that work on PS4?

Rocket League looks like a blast, can't wait to try it out with friends.

I finished Arkham Knight 2 days ago and now just playing Payday 2. I feel insane, weeks ago I was all over switched 3 plus I got back on Last of Us and was playing the MP almost everyday and even uploading videos. Now I don't even feel like going back to them. I think I juggle too many games at once, I even started a Fallout 3 playthrough during this whole time.

just curious. you mentioned that your USB Music Player app is gone.

but do you have a USB stick ( with music files on it ) attached to your PS4?

if I remember correctly, the USB Music Player app was designed to only show up if it detected a USB stick with music files on it.

since I leave a USB stick with my media files always attached to my PS4, maybe that's why I'm still seeing the USB Music Player app.

edit: and I just checked. I removed my USB stick and sure enough, the USB Music app is gone.

so, in that case, this is something that can only be corrected in a firmware update.

When the hell is the PsNow Subscription service coming to the PsTv? It should've launched on it but the fact that they've withheld it for months now is ridiculous.

I traded my old iPhone in at GameStop this weekend and got Batman Arkham Knight and Lego Jurassic World for $22.45 total. Thought that was a pretty good deal.

I imagine if you don't have the context that avatar just looks like a girl grabbing a robot dick or something.

Is it possible to play Dragon's Crown on the PS4 if I DL it from PSN? ...If it's on PSN, that is.

I think that game's platforms are just PS3 & Vita right now.

The package will include a white Destiny-inspired 500GB Limited Edition PS4 system and a physical copy of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which includes Destiny, Expansions I and II, and The Taken King. You’ll also get an upgrade to the Digital Collector’s Edition, which includes the following content: three exotic Guardian class items with XP bonuses, three classic-specific emotes, three armor shaders, as well as the early access weapons pack.

I have to say thats the best alternate design of the PS4 out there

That's a cool looking PS4 even if I don't know anything about Destiny. Like, if I were in the market to buy a PS4 right now, I'm maybe go for that. The only thing stopping me is them putting Destiny on the console itself, though. I wish companies would stop doing that. Just let the pretty art be without putting a title or franchise title on it.

really?? well that's odd.

but whatever. hopefully this is something that can be fixed in the next update/patch.
