honestly it feels like by the time they add all these basic features from the PS3 that people have been begging about, we will be gearing up for the PS5. We're approaching Year 3 of the PS4 and Sony has been way too slow with their updates

yeah. it's just so frustrating.

So I have a Destiny icon on my PDM. The thing is Ive never purchased Destiny or played it on my PS4. Why is this thing taking up space on my UI. Does it show up for anyone else that doesnt own it? I dont like this as it seems like some marketing tactic for Sony to try and sell it to me. I preferred this space to only be apps and games I have as the space is already limited as is

It appeared on mine as well. I guess its just a bit of shameless marketing.

Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition
will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 27, Nordic Games announced.

“It’s rare that as developers we get the opportunity to revisit one of our previous games,” Gunfire Games design director John Pearl said in a press release. “The passage of time and the numerous games we’ve worked on since Darksiders II shipped has allowed us to return to it with a fresh perspective. With that said, we went back to what is a huge game and addressed things we didn’t have time for or didn’t notice the first time.

“We started by revisiting every asset in the game, increasing the texture resolutions and brought the art up to spec to take full advantage of the new lighting and rendering. Darksiders II has a lot of DLC in the form of weapons, armor and unique locations. These pieces of DLC which felt separate from the main campaign have now been integrated into the game and rebalanced accordingly.

“Lastly, we’ve addressed much of the feedback we received after the game’s release in regards to balance and bugs. With all these changes, this is truly the Definitive Edition of Darksiders II

PlayStation 4 With $350 Price First Available at Best Buy. October 6, 2015 . 7:00pm

$350 PlayStation 4 should be a reality this holiday season – and Best Buy has taken the first discount shot.

If you missed out on last week’s $20 price drop on the PlayStation 4 Destiny: The Taken King bundle at Groupon, a much better deal has emerged for today only at Best Buy. The PS4 was rumored to be getting a $50 price cut in North America, and in our opinion Best Buy is taking a leap of action in securing some sales.

In other big box retailer news, while not quite as outright cheap, Target is competing by tossing in a free $50 gift card with purchase on the Destiny: The Taken King bundle. There’s a small $5 discount to boot, and if you’re a REDcard holder, Target is the the best value overall. (Plus, the deal isn’t 1 day only like the Best Buy deal.)

Later this Friday, Civilization: Beyond Earth’s expansion “Rising Tide” is releasing for $29.99. Rather than pay full price, GMG’s deal drops the price to $20.79, a decent 31% off just days before the expansion goes live. In other news, the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns October 23rd release date is drawing nigh. The best deal online we’ve found is a drop to $34.24 at FunStock Digital – an impressive 32% off for the anticipated expansion.

Edit: If you’re reading this on Wednesday and the Best Buy deal is expired - have no fear, we’re almost certain the PS4 will get a $50 price cut in North America near the holiday season. Will this also reflect in Europe? Probably. Australia/Canada? Uh… keep your fingers crossed.

wow, damn. so i'm guessing the 1TB model never came out in the states, so this pricecut is for the 500GB model, and if it were to come out, then that would just be $400 again, yeah?

I thought the BLOPS III console was 1TB?

I'd imagine by next year, we will see a 1TB standard console for $400. just like what happened with the X1 consoles.

however, unlike the X1, there's less of a need to buy a 1TB PS4 right away, since you can always upgrade to a bigger hdd from the 500GB model down the road.

Without a game and special skin, a standalone 1tb will likely be $400

Has anyone had an issue with their DS4 not charging? I did some research and apparently, due to poor design, if you plug in your DS4 with the micro USB, and set the controller down, eventually it'll push that port out of place and will no longer work properly. I confirmed this as the controller would charge, but I had to hold the micro USB cable at a very specific angle to get a positive connection.

I had to get a new controller, which is kind of a plus as I got that new 20th anniversary controller which is just f'ing awesome, but kinda bummed that a perfectly fine controller became useless.

wow. never heard of that problem before. that does suck. :(

I used to charge my controller like that with the micro USB cable, but for the last several months I've been using a charging stand, which is more convenient.

Yea apparently its not that uncommon. The pressure applied to the micro USB cable while the controller sits flat causes some shift with the connection inside the controller, causing faulty connections. Its best to sit your controller upside down while charging or, like what ur doing, use a stand.

But as i said, some good came of it as I had an excuse to get that awesome 20th anni controller. Man its sweet.

It's not a PS4 controller issue. It's a micro usb charging port problem. They fail on cellphones and tablets quite a lot. I had to replace my galaxy s3 3 times due to the charging port wearing out. And my kindle hdx charging port failed after 6 months.

Micro USB is frankly ****, and imo one of the worst things to happen to electronic devices. I would have rather Sony used a proprietary stronger port and cable design than those dinky weak micro usb ports and cables.

yeah and it happens with certain micro usb cables. Not sure why

or just use regular USB as they did with the PS3. Never had an issue there

Yea im not a micro USB fan, thankfully I don't have to use it on anything other than gaming controllers.

Yeah, pretty much every device I've ever used that had a micro USB charging port ended up having issues with that port eventually.

That would have been ideal.

with the exception of a POS pre pay phone from straight talk I never had ANY issues with the micro USB port on any device both my Samsung tablets and my last 2 windows phones use them and had no issues.
