The new logo is very much the same logo.

Following an announcement in January, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and its related companies in charge of the PlayStation business in each region have officially changed the corporate names to Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC. today.

• Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. is now Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. Its president is Andrew House.
• Sony Computer Entertainment America, LLC. is now Sony Interactive Entertainment America, LLC. Its president is Shawn Layden.
• Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Ltd. is now Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, Ltd. Its president is Jim Ryan.
• Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia is now Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia. Its president is Atsushi Morita.

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s corporate website URL will also change from scei.co.jp to sie.com.

normally on a day like this i'd be skeptical but this looks pretty believable.

yeah. and that's exactly what I don't want to happen.

even if there is a generous trade in incentive each time, I still wouldn't want to have to upgrade my console every 2-3 years.

if for nothing else, I don't want to have to keep backing up and transferring all of my games, saves, and apps every few years to upgrade.

I can see this failing... And maybe taking PSVR with it.

people are overreacting to the news the 3rd party sources are giving out. if there's someone to blame for it, it is them (if most of it is untrue).

The guy already edited his post and said the posters were focusing way too much on the word sacrifice. He means sacrifice in the same way that every non-pc version of a game is 'sacrificed' in that it doesn't run quite as well. Doesn't mean they don't run as well as possible on PS4, X1 etc.

what does it mean then? if it means games will have better graphics on the Ps4K than the Ps4, then that means it is running better on Ps4K as far as I'm concerned.

Yes but that isn't the same as a sacrifice, where the PS4 is running any worse than it would be if the PS4K never existed.

I don't think you understood. My statement is assuming the PS4K will come out but that the PS4 will play games in the same way with no sacrifices, as if the PS4K hadn't come out. In all cases the statement is assuming the PS4K will come out.

No I understood, and I disagree. The sacrifice that's being made is taking away the satisfaction the 40 million+ owner install base has of owning their console, because there is a better version of the same console that can be owned that will run the game better.

Haha, you just used the word sacrifice to a situation (towards people's satisfaction) that neither the leaker nor all the complainers in that thread are talking about. My feelings will be sacrificed too when the PS4K comes out as the letter K will be all over the games section and I have a slight allergy to it. Shall we talk about that sacrifice too?

The only sacrifice that anyone apart from you is talking about is the theoretical sacrifice to PS4 game performance (not people's satisfaction) that might happen when the PS4K comes out which the leaker himself has now cleared up (he should have just used a different word).

The leak mentions that PS4 game performance might be sacrificed (which was later cleared up if you read his edit) and that is what has caused this reaction.

Ohhhhhhhhh I see. So it's like the sacrifices needed to be make like, how in Me3 because of the split RAM of the Ps3, a lot of sacrifices had to be made to the game as a whole because of that, which limited the other platforms.
