Enables PS3 to be a profile 2.0 Blu-Ray player (for discs that have web-enabled features), a resume play feature that works even if the PS3 is shut down or the disc is ejected, and it allows DIVX files over 2.0GB

I think War and Saw 4 are the only 2.0 enabled Blu-ray's available now right?

that's my understanding
Walk Hard will have it April 8th

And the 6th Day with Ahnold is supposed to be along with AVP and AVP2. Should be interesting to finally see this feature in action.

How utterly amazing would it be if they put Final Fantasy VII, Silent Hill 1, and Xenogears on the PSN....

does anyone know if it's possible to burn FFVII onto CDs from files on your computer and play it on your PS3?

This morning, SCEA announced that the PLAYSTATION Store will be revamped with a new look in mid-April. We’ve heard your calls for a more fluid Store interface, and we think you’ll be pleased with the results.

As some of the most passionate and knowledgeable PLAYSTATION 3 fans out there, here’s some additional information on the revamped PLAYSTATION Store.

As you can see in the above screenshot, the new interface allows customers to browse through eight primary categories, rather than four, making it easier to locate games, demos, game add-ons and other content. It also enables us to put up to twice as many items per page, significantly cutting down the time it takes to browse through content.

Customers will be able to access, browse, shop and download content as usual prior to the store’s re-opening. However, no additional downloadable content will be posted prior to then, including this Thursday, April 3rd, and next Thursday, April 10th. Regularly scheduled content updates will resume with the Store’s re-opening, at which time additional games and game-related items will be added, including the downloadable version of the highly-anticipated exclusive PS3 title Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
When the PLAYSTATION Store is set to re-open with the new interface, PS3 users will be prompted to download a firmware update which will enable entry to the new store.

We’ll continue to update readers of the PlayStation.Blog on the status of the PLAYSTATION Store upgrade – including a video walkthrough – in the coming days.

That new store looks alot better than what they have now. I like that it will not use the browser anymore bc it was slow when it came to navigating through it

The new layout looks pretty nice. At least I'll be able to read the writing.

Uuumm, this may sound a bit stupid, but will my details be safe on the store?
You know credit info?

Hey Everyone! We know you’re all patiently waiting for the next PS3 firmware update, ver. 2.30, which includes the revamped PLAYSTATION Store. The good news is that it’s coming soon, and you can now see how the new user interface will look in this video demo featuring Grace Chen.

I have more good news to report today – the system software update will also add DTS-HD Master Audio output for Blu-ray videos, which means the high-definition visuals of Blu-ray will now be matched with the highest quality audio for the ultimate movie-watching experience on PS3.

DTS-HD Master Audio is literally bit-for-bit identical to the studio master recording and makes movie soundtracks and sound effects truly come to life. The technology delivers audio at the incredibly high rate of 24.5 mega-bits per second (Mbps) on Blu-ray disc, which is significantly higher than standard DVDs. DTS-HD Master Audio also offers 7.1 audio channels at 96k sampling frequency/24 bit depths, so you’ll be totally immersed in the sound. The firmware update will add DTS-HD High Resolution Audio as well, which is a similar output technology that requires less disc space. You can read more about both codecs here.

A lot of you, particularly the home theatre enthusiasts and audiophiles out there, have been asking us for this capability, and we can’t wait until you have an opportunity to pop in a compatible Blu-ray video to test it out for yourself.

Right on! That's what I wanted to hear.

I want to hear that this time next week I'll be downloading the Call of Duty 4 map pack, demos for Army of Two, Dark Sector, MGS4 etc, and Home. (In a better world...)
