sorry bud, but i can no longer take your judgment on a movie again.... dragon ball made X3, Elektra, Blade Trinity, Ghostrider and even Man-Thing look like amazing films.
I never asked you to take my judgment. Nor do I give a damn.

This entire quote is pretty ignorant.

actually it made alot of sense... Unless your die hard fans of the characters (which are 99.9% of peoples problems with X3 (And the franchise as a whole) then you of course, wont enjoy the movie.

Dragonball wasnt that bad, anyone who says its the worst thing every is either being honest and feel it was the worst(doubt it) or they just crying cause it wasnt 100 percent to the manga and couldnt let that slip there mind while watching the flick. Im leaning toward the accuracy of the film tho, people have a hard time enjoying a movie if it isnt totally faithful to there 10 year old memory. Get over it Dragonball in general wasnt that great to begin with, there was comedy and poor storylines for children but yet you argue that evolution is childish HA.

i can officially say its the worse thing i've ever seen... and yes... I own Man-Thing, which i gladly admit is a horrible movie. I also have never read nor manga, nor watched the show. The movie was hands down, the worst thing i've ever seen. IF i was forced to watch Dragon Ball or Catwoman, i'd watch Catwoman.

It's not the worst thing ever, Catwoman for example was worse. Batman & Robin was worse. Uwe Boll movies were worse. And from what I hear, that Street Fighter movie is worse. But it's still pretty bad.

well thats all debatable too... i mean Batman and Robin, Catwoman, and Street Fighter are "worse" cuz they take a steaming dump on the characters (far worse then dragonball does.) But on an entertainment level? they blow dragon ball out of the water.

Dragon Ball had several marks against it.

-Bad acting
-bad writing
-horrible set design
-inconsistant CGI (some was alright, some was good, some was extremely horrible (like the green screen bike scene))
-boring plot
-etc..

what worries me most though, is the writer attached to dragonball, according to IMDB is attached to Luke Cage :(

WOW. Seriously not to totally discredit your taste in movies but there are far worse movies than Dragonball. The movie had some funny moments and actually had some silly dragonball esq. moments in the film. The movie is no worse than a 5/10 and no better than a 7.5/10 IMO. Also not to change subject of the movie review etc but did anyone else watch the ending after the credits?

The only good thing about this movie was that I FINALLY got to see a Dragonball fight scene where Goku didn't take 60 episodes to shoot off a shot.

The fight scene at the end of "The Matrix Revolutions" reminded me more of Dragonball than the "Dragonball" movie did.

The entire theater (meaning all 12 of us) burst into laughter in what should've been a very serious scene, when Geeko yelled "DRAGGOOOONNNNN!!"

"DRAGGGOOOONNNNNNN!!" is the new "NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!".

I will disagree on the bad acting because chatwin did a good job and roshi did well over playing the sillyness which is dragonball, so with that said the acting was good and bad depending on which character you look at.

I am mixed at the writing, I felt the beginning of the film was better written then after all 3 left looking for dragonballs it went to ****.

DEF HORRIBLE SET DESIGN.

Agree on CGI

Plot was so so. But then again was any of the plot in Dragonball any better, i say def no.

The only actors I felt did a good job was Chow Yun Fat and Marsters(although underused).

chatwin did an OK job with what he was given, but he's never been a good actor.

Catwoman is way worse than DragonBall: Evolution. At least DragonBall: Evolution had Goku in it.

Chatwin I just didn't like how he was so wooden at times. Maybe it was a script problem though.

Chatwin should have never been cast in the first place. Didn't he stop to think why he had an Asian grandfather and had such an absurd name?

He knew he wasn't Gohan's biological grandson.

But why did he call him Grandpa then? Why not Dad? And the way he mentioned it to Chi-Chi he was like "Yeah, I'll find out about my parents when I'm 18." I mean that kinda says, "Hey, I think we're biologically related!"

that's like saying Basic instinct was good cuz sharon stone was in it...

No it's not. Catwoman didn't even have Catwoman in it. Just Halle Berry dressed up in a Minnie Mouse S&M stripper costume. DragonBall: Evolution on the other hand, had someone playing as Goku, even if they looked rediculous.

That alone makes DragonBall: Evolution the superior movie.

depends on how you take it... you could easily view catwoman as just some random super heroine who is called catwoman (but not Catwoman)

I must admit I liked Chatty a lot. :o
