Watching grass grow is better then DB:E

Watching grass grow is better then DB:E

I can think of plenty of mundane task that are better than watching DB:E.

- Putting on socks
- Putting on my shoes. Then tying my shoelaces.
- Going to the bathroom (both 1 and 2)
- Sitting down on bench starring at a blank wall.

The list goes on.....

I'd rather play dragonball z: Sagas than watch DB: Devolution.

Casshern was done in 2004.

2004. this movie was made in 2008 and almost a year of post production.

Yeah Casshern ****ing rocks, the fight scene with all those mecha's is fantastic, just a shame DBE wasnt able to match up to other adaptations(And sucks as a stand alone movie).

I think the only reason that Fox made this movie is because they were going to lose the rights to the franchise & we all know how Fox seems to be when it comes to movie rights so they green lighted the only script they had & Dragonball: Evolution was made with Fox hoping the fans would be stupid enough to see it based on name only

yeah i was reading that FOX will lose the rights for daredevil if they dont do a movie . and they will do a reboot just because of that.

As a DD fan, I really REALLY hope Fox won't reboot Daredevil. If that happens, we will never get a good movie for this superhero, ever. Even if Marvel gets the rights back eventually, GA's perception of DD will be so ingrained by his two lackluster movies that not even Marvel would want to give it another reboot.

Although I will check this movie out when it's released I'm pretty sure the box office is going to end up like Street Fighter, I mean the movie comes out in a few weeks and I have yet to see one advertisement on tv. It makes me wonder why Fox makes these movies if they don't even have enough faith to advertise them.

not only that. why are they spending money?
movie studios in hollywood make blockbusters to make millions. its like they dont want IM;TF;LOTR;TDK;spiderman,..... BO. its like they dont want this.

Maybe they are thinking long term. They might not make the budget back in a matter of weeks, but maybe they believe they can earn it back in a couple years with DVD sales, soundtracks, toys, games, etc.

But most importantly, they wanted to hold onto the rights. So they thought lets release a ****** product and with luck earn the money back in years, and still hang onto the rights for another movie.

its insulting in a way. no matter what they think about their movies. they must 100% think that we all are stupid. because only if they think that we are stupid they have the balls to realese this in theaters.

meeeeee who am i kidding. date movie,.... made some profit.

I really don't know why the Japanesse haven't made their own version, it's obvious they have amazing imaginations, look at most Anime even down to the Final Fantasy games (can't wait for 13).

I just hope Fox dosen't get the rights for Bleach, if it was ever made into a live movie.

they are in no position to even complain. they had years and years to do this movie. and they didnt.

I hope Bleach gets never sold to Hollywood. It needs to be a Japanese production.

They already did a badass job casting the musical.

Those pics look really good, the resemblance of some of them is uncanny, where's Kenpachi though. That i would like to see, i didn't know they ever did a musical ?

that's awesome. makes me wish, even more, that the Wachowski Brothers were in charge of this movie. they embrace unique fashion and i'm sure they would've found a way for Bulma's blue hair to look awesome. i think they would've provided visually faithful representations of ALL the characters.

Not only would the Wachowski Brothers nail the aesthetics in a faithful/creative manner they also would have been able to adapt a far better story than what Ramsey and Wong gave us with DB:E (shudders).

yeah...as much flack as the Wackowski's got for the Matrix sequels, they're actually great writers. their first movie (Bound) had lots of twists and Speed Racer had a surprisingly interesting story. with as many cool and wacky ideas as DB has, i'm sure they would've made something that could breath new life into the DB mythos. i can't even imagine how they would've approached doing Shenlong!!!

Just thinking of what "could've been" makes me dislike DB:E even more. It takes a good amount of versatility to go from the Matrix trilogy to something like Speed Racer imo. They would have taken such an interesting path for Dragonball with properly omitting and persevering contents from the source material to maintain faithfulness while adapting a suitable story for film. This would have pleased the fans and also have a great deal of appeal for the general audiences.

Wackowski's? The same ones that wrote and directed Speed Racer? The same Wackowski's that made the last two Matrix films? Pft, they suck.

If Fox wanted, they could of hired a great director to write and direct a script.

Not saying they are the perfect choice but they still would have delivered something better than Dragonball:Evolution (this film has no redeeming qualities whatsoever).

sure the Wachowski's suck...

...if you don't like cool movies!!!!!! :oldrazz: ;)
