BvS The official Robin in BvS thread!

Don't lose hope yet man, this is a Batman/Superman movie. I think we should wait until the Batman solo film gets rolling before we worry about key characters not showing up.

Fingers crossed my man, fingers crossed

Would you feel better if the thread title was updated to read "Robin suit"? Just seems like we're splitting hairs here. We know Robin exists(ed) in the DCEU and we know that concept is introduced in BvS. The point of the thread is to discuss the possibilities. At least, that seemed evident to me.
:highfive:

Having Snyder's son as this Robin would basically mean that we'd get a small scene of him getting killed at some point and whoever this Robin is will permanently stay dead.

A real bummer if you ask me. My hopes of a Cinematic batfamily are dwindling by the days. Maybe we'll get it some day.
We were fine for years with just Tim/Robin, dead Jason, Dick/Nightwing, and Barbara Oracle

that lineup would be more than enough for me. Even though a movie with Jason as the villain would be amazing

Snyder's son as Robin doesn't mean no Red Hood. Batman has been operating for 20 years, Robin could've died 15 years ago, and they could just hire a different actor to play grown Jason

I would actually, given that I clicked on the thread thinking Robin had been officially announced to be in BvS... and then it was just another suit/rumor thread.

There's been no official announcement that Robin is in BvS. That's not splitting hairs. Just because the Wayne Enterprises logo was in MOS doesn't mean Batman was officially in the movie.

I'd even be happy with getting half of the bolded part of your post. If we got a dead Jason, Dick as Nightwing and Barbara as Oracle, that would be a dream scenario.

Including Tim might be overdoing it, but it would make sense to have him or Grayson seeing over Gotham while Bruce is doing stuff with the JL. Getting a line in the JL movie like "Wow, I'm surprised you left gotham for this, Bruce" and Bruce replies with something along the lines of "I've got someone covering it" alluding to Grayson or Drake watching over the city in Bruce's absence.

i don't like the idea of just having Nightwing, no Robin. It's never really been like that in the comics. There should be Nightwing, and a new Robin (either Tim or Damian) and dead Jason

Dead Jason Todd
Estranged Dick Grayson (Nightwing)
Oracle

That's the ticket .

Believe me Rorschach, I'd love to have a full on comic accurate batfamily but you really can't realistically expect to get all of that. Changes are gonna be made for live action stuff in order to simplify things for the casual audience, just the fact that there was a Robin suit in the batcave got me really excited.

THIS!!! And I'm starting to think that Batsolo may be dealing with Red Hood (my opinion)

Add Drake as Robin (probably with an appearence in the Cyborg movie and allusion of Titans)

And possibility of Red Hood in the batsolo and :hmr:

I agree with this, and when I saw the memorial to Robin I also was overwhelmed with excitement at the possibilities. Having said that I grew up reading Batman comics with the status quo of the Bat-Family was Dick Grayson away as Nightwing, Jason Todd murdered and Tim Drake as the current Robin. So I would be perfectly fine with getting that in this universe with no Red Hood. However as my username would suggest I am a huge Jason Todd fan and do love the Red Hood storyline and character. Also Snyder is pretty good about staying faithful to the source material. I just want a serious take on the Bat-family. I can't have the 66 television series and the two Schumacher Batman films to be my only live action portrayals of Robin. The popular opinion seems to be that Batman works better as a solo character but I would argue that Batman greatly benefits from the legacy of his Bat-Family and it's something that hasn't been explored in the live action films.

I'm tired of Snyder shoving Eli down our throats!

But Lencho1, without Hollywood nepotism we would have never gotten great actors like Nic Cage!

That's an aggressive thing to say. Did his involvement distract or take away from 300 or Watchmen?
All the opposite... I loved how he was as Leonidas and with Roarschach :hmr:

So... Yes more into our throats! :woot:

Eh, he's White. So, it's cool. :mnm:

I'm just reacting the same way people tend to when it comes to nepotism in Hollywood when the names are Will Smith and Jaden Smith.

Are people compairing this to Jayden-Will? At least Eli was ***ing great with what he did as Leonidas and Roarschach :funny:

If he's in this, I imagine he'll only play Jason Todd who gets killed by Joker and stays dead. Fine by me really. So long as it's not Dick Grayson.
