AVEITWITHJAMON said:Well its really 14 episodes, but Serenity, the pilot, is the length of two episodes so you could class it as 15. Heart Of Gold is a very good episode, with some good insights about Mal and Inara, and Mal finally gets some!!.
LexCorp said:I felt really shocked when it cut to Inara crying in that episode, powerful stuff. After she knows Mal got some from her companion friend.
LexCorp said:Mal: "You wanna run this ship?"
Jayne: "YES!"
Mal: "Well....you can't"
The Question said:The best lines are near the end of the Firefly episode, Safe:
*Simon and River, who have been kidnapped by crazy religious hillfolk, are about to be burned at the stake because River's telepathy, in the eyes of the villaige, marks her as a witch. Suddenly, a huge light shines down fron Serenity, which is floating over the town. Jayne is hanging out of the ship with a sniper riffle, and Mal and Zoe walk up behind the crowd*
Mal: Got here just in time! What does that make us?
Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir!
Mal: Aren't we just?
*Mal stands in front of the croud*
Mal: Now, ya'll have something that belongs to us. We'd like if you'd give it back.
Townsperson: You cannot interfere with God's will!
Mal: See the man with the really big gun in the space ship uo there? Well, it's not that you were hard to find, but you were a bit out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. He's looking to kill some folk, so really it's his will you better be worrying about. Cut 'er down.
Townsperson: That girl is a witch!
Mal: Yeah. But she's our witch.
*points his gun at the croud*
Mal: Cut 'er down.
LexCorp said:That is a good quote dude.
Also when Wash and Zoe walk in to see the freak show (baby cow in a jar) and Simon standing there.
Wash: "Oh my god it's hideous.......oh and there's something in a jar."
That is a good one. But my favorite is split between The one where Serenity lost life support and the one where Niska caught up with Mal... I don't think it's hard to see that I absolutely love how well written Mal's character is.Halcohol said:My favorite episode of that show was the one where they broke into the hospital. Those guys with the sonic weapons were creepy.
"We applied the cortical electrodes but were unable to get a neural response."

Oh, yeah, Wash came full circle that day. He had to overcome some "issues" by facing the truth about his feelings. Plus, he gained a brand new respect (by seeing exactly why his wife follows the man) for Mal. But the way it was handled was nothing less than sheer genius... shock therapy in fact(makes you wonder about some real doctors)Halcohol said:The torture episode was also really good for Wash, too. My favorite part of the flashback episode would've been how they picked up Jayne.
"Hey, I tracked you here, didn't I?"
"Yeah... you did! How much are they payin' ya?"
I was like... WTF!!! I love stories that "retred" the timeline to reveal the details. It's a personal favorite storytelling style of mine.Nice way to start the life support episode. Having Mal face plant the floor....![]()
