My apologies if its too big, I've been a little more focused on improving my manips quality-wise lately.

If you can't see it, here's a link to it on my Deviant:

Eh, it's fine, i mean i am technically a noob really but anyways thanks to you both.

if the criticism isn't constructive, pay it no mind.

just keep working on it. i can notice improvement in your work. you're getting better every time you put something together

While I know I'm an outlier when it comes to the ASM suit, personally I loved that suit/design. When I saw the set photos, I loathed it with a passion. Then I started seeing the film stills and then in action...I never understood the hate for it.

While I would have liked it to be a little more classic, no leg stripes/complete web pattern/white eyes, I thought it was a great modern and dare I say "real world" take on his costume. When I watch Amazing Spider-Man, it feels like that would be the costume we'd see Spider-Man dawn in a real world setting.

Some fans voice their dismay over the texture of the suit saying it looks like a basketball. Personally, I love the texture of the suit. I like how it "pops" on screen and is very form fitting. It highlighted Andrews physique and made him LOOK like Spider-Man.

I did like the ASM2 suit but would have preferred if Webb and Co stuck with this as a design template and improved it with more classic elements. This right here, UltimateMarvel, is a solid manip and something I wouldn't mind seeing for Marvel's cinematic Spider-Man iteration.

Phenomenal work, all.

For me the issues with the asm 1 suit was the small yellow eyes. The no belt line and the black spot on groan area. Then of course the texture element in the suit made the suit look like a basketball and just took you out of it. Now there was elements I like though as suit pulled some ben Reilly spiderman suit stuff that was cool.

Thanks for the feedback guys!! Here's one more.

Based on a powerful scene from the Civil War comic, where Cap carries Spidey to safety after he leaps in front of a bullet to save someone. I did my best to recreate the gravity of the situation, as well as the proportions (didn't succeed all the way, but I tried.)

I'm not really a fan of the baggy clothing...

The groin wasn't black in the movie. Only in set pictures. :cwink:

You don't have to be! I am doing it because I personally think it's a little more realistic.I could easily correct the bagginess with some reshading and touching up, but I believe a costume fashioned by Peter won't be perfect. He's 15 years old. I tried to think back to Tobey Maguire's "Human Spider" costume, that wasn't very form-fitting either. Spidey's not fully part of the Avengers yet, who's gonna make that perfect uniform for him? I doubt he's gonna go ask Aunt May to help him tighten the seams.

Perfectly understandable, I'm just going with the rest of the MCU costumes. They're all fairly fitted and efficient with their materials. Maybe you're right and he does wear something baggy, then Tony gives him something more professionally done at the end. Would be nice going into his solo movie.

Oh no, don't bring up the Tony helping out Peter thing. People hate that. :funny:

Fsho fsho, I just try to think back to the roots of each Avenger. Captain America's very first costume (the literal halloween costume he wore on stage for propaganda) was nothing like the one the army tailored for him later when he started fighting the nazis. Iron Man's Mark I was just sloppy metal casting done in a cave, and Mark II wasn't painted. Hawkeye and Black Widow's uniforms were always provided by SHIELD, Thor's clothes were probably crafted by magic of some sort (I think this because we saw all the pieces of his armor assemble onto him after he was killed by the Destroyer in the Thor movie). So from my point of view, I wouldn't see Spidey's first suit being perfect, maybe due to the lack of sophisticated materials or knowledge or resources. But yes perhaps Tony plays a role in a more traditional Spider-man suit later on. He did say "I just make everybody look cool" or something along those lines in Age of Ultron.

Had a go at doodling Spidey the other day, going for a Romita Sr-esque style. I know that it's pretty much just your classic Spidey look, but I didn't feel the need to re-invent the wheel that much. I'll maybe have a go at a more MCU-ified look sometime soon.

Very nice drawing Spiderral, it does remind me a lot to the TASM2 but besides that i really like the drawing.

This is beautiful. This is EXACTLY what I want for the costume. Simplicity at it's finest! Great job, spiderral, I hope it's as close to this as possible.

Don't take this the wrong way, people, but seeing TASM2 suit or TASM2 lenses over and over on almost every manip on here makes me even more anxious and desperate for Marvel to reveal the suit. There's literally no escape from that design.

I think i'm going to have to avoid the manip thread from here on out.
