Thank you! I felt that with so many characters fighting for real estate on the poster, separating them was a no-brainer. The webbing was the next logical step. It seems so obvious until you see the official mess they released.
I'm not entirely sure where the best place to post this is but I feel like this is as good a place as any. Sorry for the long read!
The release of Spider-Man: Homecoming isn't just exciting for me because I'm a fan. It's exciting because it's the culmination of a dream I never thought could be achieved. A few months ago I had the incredible experience of working on the Spider-Man: Homecoming title sequence. I've been a designer/animator working in the VFX industry for a little over 7 years now, but I haven't worked on a project that's excited me nearly as much as this one.
It was almost 11 years ago that a friend from school introduced me to the SuperHeroHype message boards. It was in these message boards that I discovered the world of fan art and started creating my own images of Spider-Man. I instantly fell in love with the community. Everyone was incredibly supportive and they were always willing to help out. I wanted to get better at photoshop, not to impress my design teachers, but to impress everyone else on the boards. I learned more making Spider-Man fan art than I ever did in class.
Now, 11 years later, I need to pinch myself to make sure I haven't dreamt all this up. I honestly don't think I'd be where I am today if it wasn't for this place. So, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. You really inspired me to do what I do when I was just getting started.
And if you're curious, here is the first bit of fan art that I made a poster from the first Spider-Man that I made black suited for Spider-Man 3. I was super cool.

TLDR; 11 years ago I was making Spider-Man fan art and this year I worked on the movie. Life is strange like that.

I Mess With That. It's Very MCU Vibe.I haven't been on here or shared in awhile so thought I'd try my hand at a more high-tech version of Scorpion. And yes, that's Michael Mando underneath the mask.
