Whats the deal with Cage and Jessica Jones. Just read NA and she was presumed dead? Norman is back? Is he out of jail?

I guess they broke up today after some tension built up between them about living a normal life. Cage getting involved in AvX was the breaking point.

Norman turned into some kinda Adaptoid and it backfired on him. He's locked up again.

Was that in New Avengers? All the stuff with Cage and Jessica Jones was the reason I decided not to buy it. I don't care about their family life or anything. That last page of him fading to white as he punched toward the reader seemed like foreshadowing that he might be a casualty in AvX, though. That'd create a nice sense of symmetry for Bendis' Avengers run, at least. Cage turning into the unlikely leader of a whole Avengers team was sort of the longest-running theme in Bendis' Avengers comics. End of run = end of Cage. Poetic.

That would suck because he's a better character in other writer's hands, like Parker.

I got NA today bc it was an AvX tie in, but it was lite on AvX material. Most of it was already released in preview pages. The book was primarily about Cage and Jessica and I wish it didnt have the AvX marketting all over it bc it felt misleading

I think at the time, they didn't know it would be Pete destined to destroy Breakworld yet. They just knew it was some mutant somewhere on Earth. They created the cure in hopes of getting rid of the entire mutant population.

Ord brought Pete back to life because he's a sadist. Pete died curing the Legacy Virus and thus saving the entire mutant population. Ord brought him back simply to torture him as punishment for saving mutantkind.

Why do readers play the incest card with Illyana and Peter? Is it really all that weird that a brother and sister who have no other family would be fairly close? And it's not like you've had them flirting with each other or anything. Sheesh

I didn't mean to imply anything about incest, actually. I just thought it was a really small cell. I didn't even know Illyana's supposed to be sharing it; I thought she was just hanging out in there until they moved her back to her own cell.
