Have Spider-Man and Venom (Flash Thompson) crossed paths yet? If not, is Peter at least aware that Flash is Venom or that there even is a new Venom?

In the X-men crossover "X-Necrosha", why does Cypher remain alive when all the others that came back died again?

Something about Warlock storing a backup of Cypher, then using it to restore the reanimated Cypher while curing him of the techno-organic virus.

Give it time. At this point, Uncle Ben Parker isn't beyond resurrection.
He was alive once, and came from another dimension
Then got shot

They met in one of the Venom issues before Spider-Island
I think Peter knew Flash is Venom in Carnage USA, along with everybody else

When Wanda and Vison had kids..wasnt peeps like WTF? HOW?

Like seriously HOW??

With magic.

No, seriously.

Correction:

Spidey and Flashom met in issue 3 of the current Venom and fought in issue 4. They never actually met-up during Spider-Island (Venom went after Eddie Brock and the Queen while Spidey was dealing with Smythe and Jameson. Then Venom fought alongside the rest of heroes when the Queen went all Godzilla, and Spidey, again, wasn't there, but was controlling Octobots to cure everyone elsewhere). So their second encounter wasn't until Carnage USA.

Spidey does NOT know Flash is Venom.

Oh yeah, I actually came in here to ask a question.

So Peter and MJ lived right next door to each other for years...she even discovered he was Spider-Man by merely looking out of her window the night Ben died.

So how the hell had they not met during the eeeeeeaaaaaarly ASM issues where Aunts May & Anna kept trying to get those two together, and Peter kept putting it off? He was even surprised to "finally see her" when they finally met...yet these two lived right next door...Did they really not, ever, ever meet or pass each other, living that close to each other like that?

Thanks for the detailed answer.

Now let me see if I can help with your question.

As far as I know, it was never revealed why they had never met face to face until #42. I think it was just supposed to be a running joke that Peter didn't want to meet her since Aunt May wanted to set them up and he just assumed that meant she was ugly. One might just assume MJ didn't spend a lot of time at home or maybe went back and forth between Aunt Anna's and her parents.

I mean, comics were written so simply back then that it probably wasn't considered a plot hole for two neighbors to have never met, despite their aunts trying to hook them up. MJ did show up at Pete's house once in #25 but Peter wasn't around. I don't think there was ever a specific reason for them not meeting until their date.

Maybe you could ask Stan Lee on Twitter?

That's what I said, before Spider-Island

Spidey does NOT know Flash is Venom.
Thanks for confirming this

Didn't Matt Fraction work on Iron Man at one point?

They haven't leaked who the new Spider-Man is yet, have they? I heard a rumor, but I never heard any real confirmation.

Nope, there's a lot of rumours going around as a result of Slott playing with the crowd to keep them guessing

It had it's moments. Some arcs went on waaay too long. It didn't suck, but it wasn't great either.

So how long till the Phoenix comes back and starts possessing random Avengers? :cwink:

Hopefully never. They had a golden opportunity to bring back Jean and jettison Hope and they blew it. I'm pretty confident that the general consensus is sick of the PF. Now we are stuck with Hope who's doing pretty much nothing.

I admit the Phoenix Force isn't really special anymore from a narrative standpoint (don't get the AVX ending either), but knowing how much the current Marvel staff loves its hero vs hero fiascoes it wouldn't surprise me if the big event meant to cash in on "Avengers 2" in a few years revolves around the Avengers being possessed by the Phoenix. Hell, someone at Marvel's probably already pitching the Phoenix-Avengers outline as we speak. :csad:

I was under the impression Hope's story was done and now she's ridden off into the sunset. Are writers still using her?
