How many Avengers Teams are there? and who is on them?

Avengers
Captain America
Protector
Iron Man
Thor
Spider-Woman
Ms. Marvel
Red Hulk
Spider-Man
Wolverine
The Vision

New Avengers
Luke Cage
Iron Fist
The Thing
Spider-Man
Wolverine
Some other people I don't know about because I don't read that s***

Secret Avengers
Hawkeye
Captain Britain
Beast
Valkyrie
Ant-Man (but not really)
Black Widow
War Machine
Venom
Sharon Carter

Avengers Academy's teachers
Hank Pym
Tigra
Quicksilver
Hawkeye

I guess Academy doesn't count.

I don't know. I guess they technically do, but the teaching staff isn't really a team. They don't go on adventures or anything. Pym'll usually grab the students and have them fight whatever instead.

I feel like I'm missing some people from those lists, too. It's late and I'm tired.

Cap is no longer leading Secret Avengers? o_O

Nope, he handed the reins over to Hawkeye. Then he almost immediately took them back and handed them to Thor for an Avengers vs. X-Men tie-in mission to try and stop the Phoenix before it reaches Earth.

Its more than likely that none of those teams are static and we will be getting a cast overhaul once AvX is over and writers change. For one I cant see Wolverine staying on and I hope he's out

It most certainly seems like Wolvie's days as an Avengers are over after AvX #3.

Wolverine was never worthy of being an Avenger.

Worthiness didn't really matter at the time when Disassembled happened. He should have been shown the door once the relaunch happened post-SIEGE.

He's got his own way of handling things: Uncanny X-Force. The work Aaron and Remender has done with him makes it clear that he should never be an Avenger again.

Never should've been in the first place. That scene where Cap rolls over after Iron Man suggests bringing Wolverine onto the New Avengers specifically as an easy kill option is one of the worst things Bendis ever wrote.

I got the Iron Man mark 7 app on the iPad and am trying to get all the token thingies to unlock the special bit at the end, but for some reason I can't find the one on the Monaco Race page. A little help? Or rather, 'Lever!'

I try to ignore a lot of what Bendis writes but it's hard when it covers the majority of the past 10 years.

I guess I just fool my self into thinking that Cap actually likes Logan based on their interaction from Uncanny #268.

Got this question from the Avengers movie...

Loki said Thor got to Earth through using dark matter. What is this process in the Marvel Universe?

Magic, dark magic, not matter, I think, unless dark matter (which humans know very little of) and dark magic are the same.
But I was pretty sure Loki said Magic. He was wondering how much Odin had to use to get Thor to earth, and if that in some way made Odin more impure.

It was dark energy, actually. Apparently, the Cosmic Cube runs off of dark energy too, since the facility at the beginning of the movie is something like the "Joint Dark Energy Institute," if I recall correctly. Dark energy seems to be to today's writers what radiation was to Stan Lee back in the day. It's just some words that explain away everything.

How long had the Silver Surfer served as Galactus' herald by the time he met the Fantastic Four?

It's never been specified by any writer. I've always assumed it couldn't have been too long, maybe a couple of years.

Gah. Still wondering a few things.

Right now, what would you say is the main Hulk comic series?
I recently read Avengers #1 (2010). It was free. I am sort of interested in Avengers still. (Mainly Secret Avengers though). Should I bother with these early issues? Is the Kang/Ultron time travel story irrelevant now? Or should I pick up the last 3 volumes and just read it all?
Thank you!
