The Official Stupid Question Thread: Marvel Edition - Part 6

I don't know. Watch it and find out. It's quite good, but it's not the same show as Daredevil so it's reasonable to like one and not the other.

On episode 10.

Haven't stopped watching. I need sleep.

Help me? :)

Anyone know what symbol this is? I'm asking for someone on the community board. He says it's from a Marvel hat and I'm stumped. Google image search didn't give me anything.

It's evocative of Captain America's shield (just make it blue in the middle instead of white), but I don't specifically recognize it.

I was re-reading World War Hulk the other night and wanted to ask how come Hulk is able to speak coherently and comes across as rather intelligent as opposed to the more traditional feral beast depiction of the character?

I think it was called the 'World-Breaker' persona. It was another version of the character like Mr Fixit or The Professor.

So Evan (Kid Apocalypse/Genesis) was full grown after Axis but is a kid again in All-New X-Men. Did I miss something?

Well he is a shape changer. *shrugs*

I thought he was back to a kid at the end of Axis? Essentially, he was only full-grown Apocalypse while he was evil like Apocalypse. He's certainly a kid in Deadpool 39, which is as Axis is ending.

I didn't read Deadpool, so maybe that's where it happened. If my memory is correct, Axis itself ended with adult Evan running off with Deadpool.

He ran off, but he didn't look like full-grown Apocalypse. I'm not a current reader of X-Men, so I'm somewhat guessing, but I figured that's what you meant by Kid-Apocalypse.

Here's what he looked like at the end of Axis:

Reading Totally Awesome Hulk. Okay, so Amadeus can transform at will but still transforms when angry as well. Which means he's basically JUST like Bruce is at the moment(he also can control his transformations).

So this brings 3 questions.
1. What was the point of Cho becoming a Hulk?
2.And even if he is one, why such a similar design to the main Hulk?
3.Why not a different color or different features?

Bonus Question: Cho mentions he's the 7th smartest person on the planet(or 8th acoording to Pym) question is who exactly is above him?

1) No good reason besides 'Look how diverse we are!'
2) Because the movies are massive money makers and they don't want to get people confused too easily.
3) See above

Bonus: Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Batman, Bruce Wayne, 'Matches' Malone, and Mr Namtab. :o

Latino Spidey, black Cap, Muslim Captain marvel, female Thor, Asian Hulk. It's a small world, after all.

Thank you for acknowledging Miles as being Latino and not like everyone else who only thinks he's black because black is the go-to minority for the sake of diversity as if no other minority matters.

KevanG deserves a repost.

Also, I wouldn't even bother with any "official" who's smartest list. I looked up a list on Comicvine, and found those results to be very different from every.single.other result I found. And those results had different lists among themseslves.

Even if Marvel has an official ranking, its moot becuase the smartest character in Marvel, in whatever order, is whoever they want it to be at that moment. Bruce Banner had always come off as realistically genius level. He was known for being well educated and the most brilliant mind in radiation.

Then around the Jeff Loeb area of Hulk, and World War Hulks, and Fall of the Hulks, and Red Hulk punching the Watcher...Bruce was all of a sudden super-comic book levels of genius rivaling Tony Stark and Reed Richards with tech that we've never seen Bruce capable of building, let alone any interest or expertise in that field, and building interdimensional matter transporters and watches that can create solid objects from light.

Now Bruce Banner is this over-the-top genius. Building all manner of deus ex machina. When he was never this for years.

And why the hell is the LEADER never on any top 7/top 8 Genius lists? His whole schict is that his gamma powers make him as smart as the Hulk is strong. So why the hell isn't the Leader "The STRONGEST SMARTEST THERE IS!" with everyone else being puny minds compared to his mammoth genius?

And why the hell is it always a top 7 or 8 when the smartest Marvel characters are discussed? Can no one be bothered to just count up to the traditional 10? Who does a top 7?

How intelligent a character is depends on the writer. Characters intelligence and powers in stories depend on the narrative and characterization the writer comes up with.

Tony Stark is sometimes written as a engineering genius who defers to other superhero scientists on fields outside his expertise and others times he is written as a super genius who is a expert in every scientific field.

Does anyone else adore how much Canada is an evil terrible place in the MU? It has government conspiracies that kidnap people and run centres to experiment on anyone they feel like and have have a hand in several ongoing projects to wipe out a subset of humanity. The land itself is horrific since you can have an army of uncontrollable flesh eating unstoppable monsters if you make things work properly with some human flesh and constantly have elder gods from another dimension trying to break in and wreck ****.

Every time I read about anything in Canada in the MU it cracks me up just how horrific it is. Yet all you hear about it is that it's 'nice' from anyone who doesn't have first hand experience about it. I bet JJJ would have a field day if he bothered to look it up.

Has there been anything going on with Alpha Flight lately?

I know they ran into about 10,000 Wendigo with the X-Men a while back. That's about it.

Abigail Brand and the Alpha Flight are showing up in Captain Marvel for sure. And Alpha-Flight as been mentioned in the Ultimates. It could possibly show up in A-Force as well since Captain Marvel is in that too.

So did The Punisher comic get cancelled? I know they had the "End of Days" 2 parter. I just thought it was a Secret Wars tie in

pretty much all books ended due to secret wars event. If i recall there is or will be a new punisher book coming some time in the next yr.

Why is Quicksilver billed as Marvel's premier speedster, when Northstar is so much faster? As are others.

i would guess since he is the more popular/known speedster for marvel then northstar.

Far behind in the comics. Just wondering, do the characters who've been integrated into the "All-New Marvel Universe" (Old Man Logan, Ultimate Spidy, who ever else), do they know that they're from a dead universe?
