Technically, Link Between Worlds but that's a sequel to LttP, so yes.

Sheik's in the game as a separate character.

I don't remember seeing her in the "Everyone's here" E3 trailer. but I'll check again.

I wouldn't hold my breath. I believe they didnt use that design because the BOTW Zelda wasn't a fighter so they decided to go with something else. The closest we might get is a color way that is similar to the BOTW version but nothing else.

- Dixie Kong
- King K Rool
- Spyro
- Crash
- Tails
- Eggman

would really make this game go off the charts

might as well do skins for sonic in the form of Knuckles and Shadow too

I'd still really like to see Rayman. I thought that was in the cards because of Miyamoto's partnership with Ubisoft for the Rabbids game.

It really bums me out knowing that Banjo and Kazooie will likely never be in Smash Bros. They belong in the franchise more than most of the fighters in the game. I really wish Nintendo/Sakurai would talk to Microsoft/Rare about it, since they have said they'd be willing to lend the characters to the franchise.

Mayhaps Nintendo sees that putting Microsoft-owned characters in their game is advertising for their competitor, and that outweighs whatever pros Nintendo would benefit from putting them in.

Like we all know SSBU is a guaranteed millions seller even without Banjo. Nintendo can do without. So really Microsoft would benefit.

which is really dumb considering there's nothing Microsoft would get out of it other than "possible renewed interest in the Banjo-Kazooie property" which likely wouldn't amount to anything.

Yeah, Microsoft and Rareware would have to actually do something with the IP to benefit from it at all, and they have not, and never will, show it any love.

Microsoft and Nintendo are acting kind of chummy lately. So, I wouldn't count out anything yet. A Minecraft 2DS is getting released, so who knows.

Dixie was also in the Donkey Kong sequel, so there's a chance i suppose she could actually finally make it into the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get any new fighters. The roster is so massive they might just let it chill as is.
