It wasn't made clear, but I doubt they'll touch on it again.

They'll have to eventually. Roy works in the warehouse afterall.

Bob Vance was able to re inflate all the tires so he must've been there.

Bob Vance's offices are in the same building as Dunder-Mifflin, so his being there isn't necessarily proof that he bought the warehouse.

Perhaps it was a provisional agreement and the contracts weren't official

With real estate a verbal agreement is binding.

But oh man, what a great episode. I spit soda out of my nose when Michael responded "Apollo Creed".

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are truly talented.

What a bad episode. Seriously, there was only like two funny parts.

Overall, a very dissappointing Thursday night.

Really? You thought so? I thought it was great.

At any rate, 2 Stamford employees down...3 to go.

I didn't think the episode was that funny either. The American version of the show has always been a lot less subtle and more manic than the British version, and I don't think the half hour format and the tone the American cast and crew strive for have the finesse of control a Gervais and Merchant script require.

But there were some brilliant bits, like Andy wooing Pam and Toby's manipulation of Michael.

I thought the episode was great. One of my favorite parts was Kevin basically admitting he was embezelling money from Dundler-Miflin. Stanley had some great facial expressions, just love those "I can't believe the BS I have to put up with here" expressions he does. Jim's prank was cool too, felt much more like the relationship I like between those two rather than the awkwardness of last week. So when does the woman with the baby quit? How will Michael drive her out of the office? I really hope Ed Helms and the other girl stay though, they really add to the show.

Plus they couldn't use the the Larry David "****" rule: You say ****, you double your laughs.
The expectations are huge when they write the episode. I hope they do write more original episodes, the American version is still lifting from the British one. I still enjoyed it, Prison Mike's chat was hilarious and then being owned by Toby of all people. Michael doing Look Who's Talking (about breasts) at the start. The Dementors? Gold. Dwight with the money hanging out of his back pocket and crouching down forever.

Andy's banjo playing and singing The Rainbow Connection :woot:

Karen was ready to toy with Pam, that can't be good.

And did Arrested Development re-start the love affair with prisons in Hollywood?

The Creed Minute: This week paperclips for the baby.

This can't be good for Michael if two new staff have quit.

Bring on the Xmas Party!

Would it be too much to ask for a cameo from Stephen Colbert?

The "Steve Off" on the Office!

Oh and when is Todd. F Packer coming back?

Rashida Jones (Karen) is hotter then Jenna Fischer (Pam), although Jenna is an attractive woman herself.

This episode was really funny...my roommate's girlfriend came in and watched most of it with me before they went out...she was dying. She hadn't really watched any episodes, so it was nice to see her laughing just sitting in on only one...one that people are calling mediocre? C'mon...when Michael told Dwight about Martin...and he almost charged him...great moment!!! The way they're writing out or slowly exiting newly transferred employees may seem cheap...but it does make sense, and they have to do it...ultimately Michael might get praised for having employees quit on him...so the branches merged and then he's down to the same amt. of employees...he saves the company money...not on purpose...but it still happens in his favor.
I felt bad for Martin as he got in the elevator...this show does balance a very small percentage of drama at the end of every episode...
peace out.

While I'm impressed Gervais and Merchant kept the feel of the show, it wasn't the funniest episode. Funny, but not the usual amount of laughs. But like it was said, when you hear those two are writing an episode you already have high expectations.

The same with Gervais' Simpsons episode. When that was brought to light everyone assumed it was going to be a high point in the otherwise low delivering Simpsons seasons. But with so much expectation, it turned out to be a let down.

I wouldn't mind the duo writing more episodes, if the regularly got back into writing this format they could produce some outstanding episodes.

I agree, I think the gervais and merchant made it funny, but not hilarious... there was lots of individual funny parts, but not a few hilarious moments and then just kinda cute and awkward moments the rest of the time. nothing as big as, say, jim faxing dwight from the future, or agent michael scarn. I don't care if I'm an americanized ****e, I like the US version more

I wondered why the "Prison Mike" thing was so awkward and uncomfortable--this had the touch of Gervais and Merchant. My wife never liked the second season of the Brit one as much because they amped up the uncomfortable parts.

In fairness, I don't think she knows that there is any history between Jim and Pam. And, really, there isn't any official history outside of The Kiss.

News from Coming Soon!
The Office's Krasinski Joins Clooney Pic
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
December 1, 2006

John Krasinski ("The Office") is in talks to star alongside George Clooney and Renée Zellweger in Universal Pictures' Leatherheads, a 1920s football romantic comedy that Clooney is directing.

Written by Steven Schiff and Clooney, the story centers on team owner Jimmy "Dodge" Connelly (Clooney), who hires straight-laced college football sensation Carter Rutherford (Krasinski) to play professionally. The scandalous sport becomes popular and commercialized, and confirmed bachelor Dodge falls for Carter's reluctant fiancee, Lexi (Zellweger).

The Hollywood Reporter says that one point still being ironed out is how to make the movie -- slated for a spring shoot -- fit in to Krasinski's schedule, which has him making the Emmy-winning NBC comedy until March.

Great delivery by Carell. I laughed for a good 5 minutes after that line. Easily the funniest moment in the ep for me. I was sad to see Wayne Wilderson leave, he's mad funny, and could've added to the show.

Dont know the exact quote...
Dwight: I dont care if you're black, mexican, german or some kind of halvsie...

I loved that. And when Michael threatened to shove Angela into a wall.

I was rolling the entire episode!

"You're a racist!"
"Why?"
"Because you think he's black!"

"Close your eyes.

Picture a convict. What’s he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backward, baggy pants. He says something ordinary like “Yo, that’s shizzle” Okay, now slowly open your eyes again. Who were you picturing? A black man? Wrong, that was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you."

Rashida Jones was on Conan last nite...and Ed Helms had a Daily Show cameo too.

Aw, no Office tonight :csad:

Yeah, after all the ads about the new comedy block, it only really lasted one week. Sure everything is new tonight, but we're getting two Earls, instead of an Office and Earl, next week it's a double dose of the Office and no Earl. After that, probably Office, Earl and probably 30 Rock will be reruns. NBC is really doing this new two hour comedy block right aren't they?

Jim: It takes a bold man to photoshop your head into a picture of your girlfriend, her kids, and ex-husband on a ski trip.

Haha, John Krazinski has the greatest deliveries in the world. Why is he not up for a Golden Globe?

Great episode all around

The way Stamford people have been getting picked off, I was worried that after the Asian left Michael, he was going to blame Josh and fire him.

Toby feeling Kevin's robe was f**king hilarious. :D

Awesome episode.
