You're right. I'm confusing with those three action sequences filmed in IMAX for ROTF. Well noted.

This was filmed with Sony 3D Pace cameras entirely though right?

Despite my dissappointment with ROTF, the superbowl spot (which i think was just a perfect tv spot - kudos to whoever cut it) and now this trailer have me seriously hyped for this film. I don't need an oscar calibre screenplay, just cut out the inane, and give someone some depth, and I'll be happy. Things are definitely looking up though. edit: RHW looks like she'll be worse than Megan Fox, and is in no way attractive to me.

every face close up was filmed with normal cameras that Bay likes. and then converted. but only the close ups. i think 8 % are converted. everything else was with the 3D Pace cameras.

dotn be afraid. converting 10% of footage in 3D is not a problem. its only bad when they are converting the whole movie.

20 seconds into the main trailer for ROTF, there's a joke about college tuition. I've no doubt there's going to be general Bay goofiness, but the potential to get out of hand seems lower now that he actually has a script.

Yep. Just came back from Fast Five and the new trailer was on it. I wasn't sure if it would be showing in front of it, but it looks like it might be attached to all prints.

Transformers probably got the best reaction I'd say..

The Change-Up had a couple of nice laughs in it and of course, The Hangover was quite well received too..

The crowd was pretty quiet for the XMFC trailer, though..

How were they quiet about XM:FC? It looked amazing.

But I guess the GA is probably expecting another X3 or Wolverine movie in terms of quality. It'll be a sleeper blockbuster.

ROTF while being a piece of schlock in many parts was still really received well by the GA (It's box office is its proof) so the fact that the DOTM trailer was liked I guess isn't too surprising. Not to undermine the DOTM as visually so far its very, very impressive and the plot does show that more effort went into it, so kudos there.

The Hangover II is going to sell like hot cake.

Thanks for the info SS985, I think for the most part people probably got a similar reaction in their viewings of "Fast Five".

Yeah, I'm thinking that the X-Men franchise just isn't appealing to people like it used to anymore...It's not as accessible to general audiences and casual moviegoers as much as Transformers I'd say..

She just looks like another one of those useless skinny models. And she is not even pretty, don't really like her face. In fact I don't even care, if they got rid of Fox (who was useless as well, but at least she looked much better in the first 2 TF movies), why the hell even bring a new one and give her an important role? A cheesy love story is by far, one of the LEAST important things about this movie! I doubt anyone goes to see Transformers because of Sam's relationship with this girl.

Trailer had some epic footage, but I still have no idea what this story is about and no character was highlighted. I wanted to see Megatron and some Starscream.

Very very surprisingly it got a big ovation afterwards only one of the night and even during the Green Lantern trailer which was next you could hear people still talking about the Transformers trailer.

I still can't believe how bad last summer was for event films. A team and what not.

I actually think it speaks to the broad scope of the film. For battle la and especially skyline, that's all they had.

with TF3 we all know there is more and they just delivered a trailer on one aspect alone if even that. I only hope the film keeps it's focus.

I agree.....it's just a trailer and they do know what everyone wants to see, so they are keeping it under wraps, which is fine. So i'm not surprised, my questions still arent answered yet. So it's on to the theaters for this one.

So did the first film, and that was mostly received as great the other thing this has more in common with the first and not the second, is a script that is allowed to be taken past the first draft.

Most importantly Bay coming off a poorly received film > Bay coming off of a strongly received film, of so the story goes.
