The trailer is fantastic. I had lost faith, but I'm sold once again.

Who do you suppose Sam was threatening with a gun in the trailer? A government agent that is keeping Carly away from him or possibly Patrick Dempsey's character is keeping her away from Sam for whatever reason, since he supposedly plays her boss then maybe they used to go out & he became obsessed with her or something?

Whomever it is, I think it's interesting they kept it out of this(the supposed final 2D trailer). By doing so and having the audience discover the wealth of material in the film experience, I think word of mouth will be very strong, however they must be confident that people will go based on the brand and it's endless accessibility.

They could have really sold the fresh plot point of why sam and his team go into the city and some of the non decepticon conflict they will face, but instead most people are seeing "more of the same" I don't know I just think it's odd but the trailer is going over well for those who are pre-disposed to thinking so but the haters mostly still hate.

As for who the gun is pointed at, well 9 caliber bullets don't hurt cons, or pretenders for that matter. I'm thinking it's the Demp, and it happens before shia goes up the building.

What do you suppose is in the vault, certainly not Sentinel Prime since he is supposedly still on the moon at this point & he would have been much to big for a 1960's space shuttle to transport back to earth but they could have possibly brought back his shield & his weapon.

Suppose the decepticons had found Sentinel Prime & kidnapped him but then the moon is such a big place that neither would have known that the other was there.

There will be no more theatrical trailers just a slightly different one with a bit more scenes for Pirates according to Nelson from MichaelBay.com

- Trailer got downloaded & viewed on this site about 1.3 million times. That's what bought down the site for a couple of minutes.

-Bay has just finished the 3D trailer which will be featured on 'Pirates.' It's basically the same trailer with a couple new shots.

Question from Plague1980: I know you said there will be some extra stuff added to the 3D trailer but can you tell us if there may be another trailer down the line before the movie hits? Not asking for a date or anything, just if there will be one? Thanks.

Nelson: Aside from the 3D trailer & TV ads I think this is it.

They're only planning to make one last 1.5 version of the same trailer in 3D in time for Pirates but that'll be it along with a couple T.V spot.

Bay wants to be more discrete and conservative with this movie and wants to keep as many plot points as he can a surprise until the release date. It makes sense seeing as how late in the game the first theatrical trailer was released.

Definitely not a bad thing. ROTF they had to sell like a cheap hooker because of its quality but DOTM seriously feels as if more effort went into it and the way they're marketing it sure seems to indicate a more elegant way of ending the trilogy.

Went to see fast5 today, no trailer for me.
I've yet to see optimus on the big screen in relation to this film whatsoever.

Cowboys and Aliens on the other hand is doing a great job of getting in my face every time I see a movie. For better or worse I think it will find an audience because of it.

I don't know if it is or not but it would be interesting to see. I don't really know if something like a Vector Sigma would work in these movies or not, just keep it simple & say that all transformers originated from the allspark & save Vector Sigma for a remake origin story.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. I doubt that the film wont have another MacGuffin, and as far as ancient TF artifacts go, Vector Sigma or Dark Energon are the most prominent ones left.

Maybe Vector Sigma itself is buried under Chicago and that's why the Decepticons have focused their invasion there?

Is it certain now that there's no Unicron in this movie? Nothing in the trailer seemed to suggest he is, but certain other sites still seem to think he will feature.

I saw the trailer when I went to see Fast Five. It just looks like like the first two films trailer, sans Megan Fox.
