Ok, that's the second reviewer who mentioned the dutch angle thing in the film. I just hope it's not used too gratuitously.

I think the overall feel from everyone will be positive. Thor is part of an interesting world and he adds a lot to the Marvel universe. After I read the screenplay for the film, I had a fun time visualizing it on screen, despite the very simplistic storyline.

Can't wait to check it out in theaters though

I'm glad to read that Thor seems to have distinguished itself from other superhero movies due to its fantasy element. If the four superhero movies are to succeed this year they'll each have to bring something different to the table.

I had an inkling he might. After seeing some of the TV spots & clips his acting began to really come through for me in a way that the trailers didn't really touch on too much.

The basic settings for each movie already vastly sets them apart from each other.

Captain America = Science Fiction influenced WWII

Thor = Fantastical world of Asgard

Green Lantern = Intergalactic universe

X-Men:FC = Mutants in the Cold War

They are all distinguishable, but the question is...will there characters' personalities be unique enough? It's all down to the execution of the acting IMO.

Yeah. I was worried about Hiddleston because he didn't have much experience in movies, and previous actors have set the bar for supervillains really high. Glad to hear he's come through.

I don't know that I'd exactly put it that way, based on the other reviews. It seems more of a "the Asgard stuff is just so much more awesome that the earth scenes can't help but pale a bit by comparison" thing going on. But I didn't see to many saying the Earth stuff just was bad or anything.

A couple of the reviews seem to think that some more earth scenes would have been good, and could have strengthened the overall story arc. They all seem to like Portman, Dennings and Skarsgaard (when he is mentioned) as well.

Overall, to the extent that I'm seeing a common thread in these reviews, on the negative side, it's not so much that the earth scenes are weaker than the Asgard scenes, it's that the transition between the two is a little jarring.

Other than that, everything seems very positive overall, with each reviewer having certain characters and certains aspects that stand out as particularly good. Which ones actually seems to vary quite a bit, though, which I think is an excellent sign.

I don't get these reviewers who are making the after credits scene sound so awesome. From what I read about it, it's kind of meh to me. Was hoping for something better.

Yeah I've read the Destroyer stuff is pretty underwhelming and anticlimactic in a few of the reviews. Which is pretty disappointing as much as they played that scene up in previews.
