The Official Tom Welling Thread - Part 1

Would if not tom at least someone else from the show to do a few other talk shows.

What I'm hoping is that he'll get some higher profile gigs on top of this one...

If he's in LA the day before, maybe he could still hit New York earlier in the week to visit the morning shows, or maybe Letterman or Jimmy Fallon, then while in LA maybe also go see Conan or Craig Ferguson.

*fingers crossed*

He'll be seeing both Jimmys now...

Hey #Smallville fans mark your calendars...Tom Welling guests on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON on Thursday, May 5th.

I hope he goes on Conan due to the WB connection.

Routh has been doing pretty steady work, no blockbusters or anything but hopefully Tom can at least continue as a working actor. It would suck to have a job for 10 years and then have a rough time getting any work in the business. I could see him doing romantic comedies or something.

Well tom could probably do another show/guest work. Along doing more work with his production company and maybe make another shpw, and do more full time producing/directing work for hellcats. What ever I wish him best of luck.

He may be sick of tv after the grind. If he has an oppurtunity to do movies I think he'll jump at it.

I was saying if he is sick of tv work and could find some parts in movies.

I would bet that Tom is going to wait to find new work until he finds the right thing for him. We may not hear for awhile what he'll do next, but I doubt he'll do more TV.

It's a full-time job with insane hours and not as much free time as you would get from doing features. And he said something about wanting to work in features, so I guess that still remains to be seen...

He's not cast as Superman in the reboot movie, but I wish he plays Superman for a Justice League since Smallville is the only place that depicts live-action DCU in addition to the Superman mythos. I think he will put his energies into producing Hellcats until he gets a feature film. :super:

Any stigma from being on a series for CW? I mean if it were a long running series off of a bigger network, I think crossing over to feature film might be easier.

You guys do know today is Tom Welling's birthday, right? He's 34.

Not only is today TW's birthday, it's also the birthday of WWE Wrestler Kane, who played Titan from the 6th season episode, Combat. :super:

Way cool.

Here's hoping he'll get more gigs announced soon.

 :super:

Ok. Maybe I'm being dumb. But since Fallon airs at 12:30am in the morning, does that mean he will be on "Wednesday night" Thursday morning or Friday morning "Thursday Night"?

It's technically Friday morning "Thursday night".

They're telling him that the majority of people voted for him for the role of Superman in the EW poll.

He missed it. ;D

Had some great words for Nolan and the movie.

OK he basically confirmed that the final thing we'll see (obviously) will be superman flying presumably. He didn't outwright say it because Warner Bros. told him not to spill the beans since he'll be doing the rounds but it was pretty clear.

Lots of chicks phoning in lol.

The woman from Kentucky is kind of creepy.

In honor of Tom's birthday's, with inspiration by CycloneKat, a fantastic artist at K-Site, here's the Evolution of a Hero.

I'm glad he confirmed about Superman flying at the end of the finale, but I wonder if he flies throughout the finale before he wears the suit. I heard TW was emailed by WB not answer questions about flying in the finale. :super:
