Dark of the Moon The Official Transformers 3 News And Speculation Thread - Part 2

I did read what you said... and IMHO there was no real pleasuring of the military.

I also never really had any feeling that the movies go on too long... though i will agree that Simmons was quite irritating at the end... and wasn't really needed for a lot of DOTM (Maybe he should have been killed by the dreads and not just injured)

I have heard too often people complaining about humans in the TF movies... and i guess my mind just lumped you in with them when you commented on Turturro (Who i think is a better actor than he's had material for in the TF movies) and i apologise for that.

One thing that a reboot will do is (hopefully) widen the range of vehicles they use from just Chevy products....

Read what I said once more. Military *******. Half an hour of **** blowing up. And because I don't want Turturro or similar whacky idiots, doesn't mean I don't want any humans at all.

I don't even ask for much, honestly. Just a Transformers Movie that is on par with the first one. It just had the right amount of story, heart and humor. After that it basically went to hell.

It's funny how now everyone regards TF1 as the Schindlers List of the franchise when in fact, as a stand alone movie, it is quite bad too.

i liked how they used that star trek clip to foreshadow the sentinel prime swerve

oh yeah !
i almost forgot the thread was about transformers 3
i saw it
visiually it's "grandiose" all the 3 movies so far are visually stunning and the last one even more so because of the 3d effects
as for the story , it's a little bit better than the segond one (what would you expect from the same writer anyways)
anyway i like it and would "probably" see it a segond time
but still the first transformers was outstanding.(maybe because it was the first).

and if they ever do one more transformers
try to find a way to bring back Megatron
because the way that octimus prime disposed of him with one arm ,
i just don't buy it,that can't be the real megatron it must be some cheap clone of "himself" or something while he is regenerating somewhere from his last battle.

Dude I dont mind him reusing footage, but you really cant compair making films on the very early 80's to films made today

Why can't I compare movies from the 80's to present movies? how is that a rule? We were talking about sci-fi franchises that reused footage and they did. What's the problem with it?

Well it's your rule and it's arbitrary and not based upon common sense at all. It was expensive to create a sequence then and it still is now. It's OK for one but not for the other based upon nothing but the time? Both films reused sequences we can assume for the same purpose, to save time and money.

If you want to find something to complain about move on to something else, this one doesn't hold water.

Most people wouldn't want to see a reboot so quickly. Especially after so many have enjoyed this trilogy.

They could easily continue this series with a new focus.

Or wait til 2020 to release the reboot.

I don't see them rebooting anything for a good decade or so, mostly because this series has been an audience pleaser, which is all they really care about. If anything they'll try and do a part four similar to the last three.

Pretty much. This continuation will have to flop before they reboot it. The audience loves these interpretations of Bumblebee and Optimus. Rebooting the series doesn't guarantee they'll be back to watch the new interpretations.

Stick with OP and B, create a good plot, get a good cast. That's it. The audience doesn't care about who the villains are. No one watches Die Hard because of the villains. Same thing, they can literally create a baddie and 95% of the movie-goers wouldn't know. They'll probably do that and then just name him Galvatron.

well they still got unicron out there, so that's the last bad guy they can go to

That doesnt make sense

I noticed so much more detail in 3D as it really brought out the Transformers. TF1 or 2 never came close to making the details clear as TF3D did

To me alot of scenes were kinda blurred when I try to focus and with the action its hard for me to keep up. The framrate is a lil more sketchy in 3D. I will say this was one of the easiest to follow though. Maybe its just me and how my eyes react to the 3D. I prefer 2D.

I still think the original is by far the worst of the three. ROTF is a mess, no doubt, but I find it's at least mildly entertaining if one expects a loud and silly action movie that's basically just eye candy and nothing more. The original to me was let down by way too much juvenile and crude humor that simply doesn't belong in a Transformers storyline at all, as well as some very poor directing, and too little actual Transformers action. With ROTF at least it had more action scenes and they were pretty entertaining to watch, and ROTF kept my interest more than the original which at times got pretty tedious. That isn't to come to ROTF's defense though, while it can be fun to watch in a so bad it's good way, it in itself is quite a trainwreck, too (albeit one that's amusing to watch if one's in the right mood for something ridiculous). ROTF definitely shares a lot of the same problems as the original though, no arguing there. Jetfire farting out the parachute is still a pure "WTF?" moment.

I'll have to see DOTM again to see if my opinion differs, but I dug it for what it was. It's flawed for sure and still has room for significant improvement, and it'll never be known as a great movie, but it got the job done for me by being entertaining.

I'd be OK with a movie about the Autobots and NEST. They could use Unicron, Galvatron, the new Decepticons, revive some old ones, etc.

It'd be great.

if this movie would make 1 billion Shia would come back. it wont hehe ;)

Is there a post credits scene?

AFTER all of the credits, like Iron Man.

not AFTER... but there is one DURING.... maybe a minute after they start...

There's supposedly a unhuman growl as the final Paramount logo rolls in.

21M on Thursday. What a sad statement on what the American cinema viewing public will find acceptable. I just hope that this thing fails to make 300M.
