Oh look. AnorexicBatman is whinging again. It must be Friday.

You do understand the concept of fantasy, right, AB?

:woot:

In the words of Roger Ebert in his Kick Ass review:

You know what? You inhabit a world I am so very not interested in.

If your fantasy is watching dogs humping, robots pissing on humans, a giant robot with testicles, a guy getting repeatedly zapped in the nether regions, two obnoxious and crude "Hip" robots then I want no part of it

If you have got a filthy mind that does not mean I do

AB doesn't whine, he is one of the few posters around here that can vehemently disagree and be civil about it

Then in all honesty, why come here AB? I say this with no malice but it is obvious you havent liked this franchise from the start and yet we are here nearly 3 movies in and you still post about it.

It just seems like a massive waste of time to me, if I dont like a movie/franchise, then I wont go into the thread, I would rather concentrate on movies I am looking forward too.

I wonder if in the third film, they can make people like other Autobots other than Optimus and Bumblebee....

A guy on TFW2005 is claiming he saw the new look twins along with an uncovered IronHide.... sporting a NEST Alliance Number plate.... says he has pics he'll be posting later

Lets hope my crappy internet stays in operation till then, so i can link to them...

I don't post here. However, I do check in once in a while to see new developments and small chance that it will actually be good. I was actually exited for and enjoyed Transformers 1 except for one or two scenes. But TF2 just seemed ugly to me. Also, I was originally replying to BlackLantern's post:

Deep Thoughts...with Michael Bay

Googling "I hate Michael Bay" gets 1,950 results, with most of that vitriol spewed by Transformers geeks. "I've heard so many people say, 'Michael Bay, you've destroyed my childhood,'" Bay recently told Wired. "I urge them to watch the 1986 movie, go watch the cartoon. You'll want to shoot yourself."

now...my cousin, who is 23, was not a big TF fan when he was a kid and recently watched the 1986 film for the first time, partly on my recommendation

he now holds a grudge about it

Then JakeCassidy shows up and cries about how I ruin his fun

Depends on what your looking for in TF3.... for me it's being entertained.... as well as the CGI and the cars.

If you want a well thought out Oscar sweeper..... then you should think about going elsewhere.

EDIT-Okay, as a broke Brit, i can't fly over to Chicago to watch the filming, so i've been using TFW2005 to get my infomation (As it's been quiet here this time round). Someone just posted the following...

TFW2005 - Post 49

we appreciate your efforts, Dr. Lee.....I get where AB is coming from, but I can't take Transformers seriously enough to the point where Im expecting high theater

Why high theater? Why can't Transformers basically be a live action Pixar/Dreamworks style movie instead of being American Pie STARRING Autobots & Decepticons?

because it doesn't need to be, at least not in the eyes of Hasbro or Paramount...over 1 billion grossed between two films

that's why

But it would have been successful none the less. You can make money being a criminal or having an honest job. It's more about morality but then again this is Hollywood

Don't complain about someone like Tom Rothman then because he works on the same principle as Bay/Paramount. It's interesting actually, Star Trek & TF2 both Paramount produced no less made a lot of money. The difference was in execution, JJ Abrams actually gave a damn

I agree with you, I don't do studio hate...I do comment on decisions that studios do make and the business of movies in general interests me

Now THAT is awesome.

Optimus: Hooray! I finally have some pants!

Everyone? I meant that Bay could have tried and made a decent science fiction adventure but chose the easiest way to make the most money. Nothing wrong with that except it's nice when filmmakers care about what they are creating/directing even if it's a movie about giant robots (Iron Giant? They could have made a stupid kids film to shut them up for 120 mins but there is genuine effort and storytelling)

thats the 48 Jimmy Johnsons car and the Bud #8 that Kasey Kahne?? drives....wow NASCAR is getting in on this...smart move

I hope there won't be a, "All you guys do is drive in circles" joke
And they shouldn't have redneck accents if they are in fact Transformers

STUNTICONS would be awesome though, however I doubt it.
Despite the fact that they were made for chase scenes

The reports from the set was that the Autobot convoy were filmed chasing the three NASCAR-based vehicles....

And i've read about a Purple vehicle in the convoy.... and possibly a Merc as well

EDIT- There is a deep blue Merc in the filming... no clue if it's a Bot or not...

More pics.... better look at 2 of the freaky cars

Hey guys, you hear about a 429 Bell Helicopter Transformer. My dad is one of the head honchos of the 429 program the the company and texted me that a 429 Helicopter Transformer is being filmed on a Chigaco skyscraper.

I'm sure this is old news, but its new to me! :awesome:

On or around? Cuz they are filming a load of Helicopter flybys in Chicago...

Here's what he said...

"Well apparently it's going to land on a skyscraper and then transform :D. No idea if it's a decepti-whatever or a bottywhat!?"

Yeah, he aint very knowledgeable of Transformers :awesome:

Hmm... could be interesting... there was an autobot news chopper toy in the ROTF range that looks like the pics i got from googling the helicopter you mention...

Is it an Autobot, I have a feeling it would be, the 429 is a Helicopter used for rescue missions and taking injured to hospitals quickly. So it would make sense

Edit: ****, nevermind my question. Didn't read your post correctly
