why are they filming Bay's jet?

I thought you might mean that, instead of the literal angle (of both videos).

Also, are you sure that's bay's jet (I'm too lazy to pop in ROTF special features disc to check . . . does the tail# match?), or are you simply saying that it looks like Bay's plane.

Do you think it's an autobot, or just a plane? Silverbolt perhaps?

Remember the Fireengine has an Autobot insignia towards the front like the plane does, and Ironhide has the skull on his licenseplate.
Just speculating. What do you think?

Also Alan Tudyk, and McDormand (sp?) can be seen in the photos, as well as Turturro.
 
the tail number looks to be 4500X..... which was Blackouts tail number...and IIRC either bay used the number on his jet or gave Blackout that number as it was his jets...

also it saves $$$$.... why bother hiring a jet for a few minutes filming when you have your own?
 
The latest news is that they're somehow writing the the cop crash accident into the script, so it'll actually be in the movie.

Like how they wrote Shia Lebouf's hand injury into the script for the second movie

How will they pull that off? The cop SUV decimated the front of the Camaro (Bumblebee), and i doubt that with all his advanced tech he wouldnt have spotted and avoided it.

Besides, its a ****ing Camaro, not the Ferrari. I'm sure they can get a new one in less than a week.
 
they have back up Cameros.... they never had a back up hand that they could just bolt onto Shia's arm...

no reason to add this into the movie at all....
 
Some set pics of the filming in DC and a member claims he knows the identity of that mysterious truck and more stuff. But take this rumor as a grain of salt.

The vehicle is rumored to be Megatron, something that "Astrotrain" reported to me as true:

Megatron is for a fact the Mad Max semi in TF3. I can send you more behind the scenes pictures from a storage facility where all the vehicles were kept while in Chicago. My father in law who works for a special effects company in Chicago was one of a group whose job it was as he said Michael Bay states "make this truck look more demented." Also not sure if it is known or not but Patrick Dempsey’s Character is a super Billionaire computer expert, who helps the transformers buy building additional ones to help. Those NASCAR transformers are not partially transformed those are ones he created, along with he "power glove" we have seen Sam wearing

I read that that was like the third take for the shoot. If they work it in, they don't have to keep reshooting.

They don't actually seem to be filming Bay's jet. More like spectators are snapping shots of the actors getting off of Bay's plane.

Or... If they are indeed filming he jet, and since it has an Autobot emblem on it... Silverbolt?

Not sure myself, but that's what my local Fox news reporter said, that someone in production confirmed that they're going to use that footage...

If it was the Ferrari, that cop would be ****ed.
 
Is it just me or is it looking more and more like there will be some sort of "time travel" in this movie? I know there were rumors but I just dismissed them as just that a while ago. With these pics of what looks like a Kenedy assassination reenactment, I'm getting a little scared. I just hope Patrick Dempsy isn't "Old Sam" from the future or something.

I love the first 2 movies mainly because I'm a hard core transformers fan and they are fun to look at but I will admit, as movies they are kinda... for lack of a better word, stupid. I just hope Bay doesn't totally screw up any future desire for anyone to reboot the franchise. Because I would like to see someone who is serious take a shot at it. IMO
 
from what i have read.... there's no time travel in DotM.... just a few flashbacks

thought Malcovich was playing Sam's boss?

Dempsey was to be Mikaela's boss... but i'm not sure how they re-jigged the script after Fox left the movie

Oh yea Malcovich is Sam's boss. I had mixed it up with the Dempsey character... my mistake!

Dempsey is [the girl]'s boss
