His face could probably be repaired but his scarred face just adds more character to his look or so the toy makers thought. Hopefully they don't have him wearing the tarp/hood over his head in movie because it would make him look ridiculous, while there at it they should give all the robots trench coats to wear around.

With that cloak, he reminds me of those cloaked droids that were with General Grevious in EP III of SW.

Anyhow, Bay has already effed up Megatrons look enough, there's no need to add insult to injury by adding this.

Megatron...

The second pic reminds me of the T-600.

Yep, that's right, Bay designed all the bots by himself. Spielberg, Paramount, and especially Hasbro, had nothing to do with it.
:whatever:

Having Megs turn into a truck is only about a step or two away from that Scourge/Nemesis Prime "give Optimus an identical evil twin"
Didn't they already establish that Prime and Megs are brothers in the movies. I know they set that up in the comic adaptation as well as the novelization but didn't Prime address Megs as brother during the final fight in TF1? Maybe their running that point further home by giving Megs an alt form that matches Prime's.

I like it because he's more recognisable now.... and how is he gonna be bashing autobots up with that cloak...

It's seems like Megatron is one of the only Transformers that can't seem to stick to one form. He's been a gun, a cannon, a jet, a tank, and now a truck; can't they just have him stick with one form just once?

Get your facts right. Bay's team designs the robots; Hasbro then green lights it. So, if the design sucks it's due to team Bay's designs...

I think Megatron's new design is pretty neat myself. I like that it looks like he's going to have the fusion canon on top of his arm, and I'm glad they given him actual hands since I've never liked those weird tendril things he had in TF1 and ROTF.

I don't think the cloak is bad either, even if it looks a little weird at first. I think the CGI model will do this design justice.

...why not just give Megatron a cigar in his mouth too? :o

I actually thought about changing "Decepticons" to "all the robots" but was to lazy to change it.:whatever::yay:

I know Bayformers has its fans but I am genuinely surprised Hasbro gave the go ahead for most of the robot designs seen in the movieverse.

As well as Hasbro's thumbs-up.

.....nonetheless the first thing that came to mind was this guy.....

here's to bay, the universal solvent of fan boy woes.

How many movie Bumblebees can I guy have...??!! Looks too similar to previous versions for me to buy...

Does anyone think the decepticons might try and ruin the autobot's reputation by turning into cars and trucks and doing bad things in these forms (maybe explaining Meg's new look and The Nascar's Guns)

Well there is meant to be some sort of Anti-Autobot premise in the movie so who knows.
