most earthlings probably don't know the giant robots are aliens
they would more likely think they were just military warfare tech (from japan)

At the very least, the military or Optimus has to explain why the giant robots fight each other in populated areas all over the world.

Dreadbox is the Ferrari's name? Who the **** is that meant to be?

Article also says the firetruck is Sentinal Prime who is Optimus Prime's father?

Dont mind the second part but surely the name of the Ferrari cant be true? Guess this confirms who the bot was in the trailer though.

I wouldn't take that site as being anything but speculation in regards to the names.... Specially the Italia...
 
Wouldn't surprise me honestly, Bay giving us some unknown bot or making up a name himself, what was wrong with Hot Rod being the Ferarri. I dont see the bot in the new trailer being Sentinel Prime though, dont see Bay chaning him from that particular yellow color to that red/blue fire truck, yea Bay screws up some stuff but he usually gets colors right for the most part, and i dont see spending all that time on CGI with the bot in the trailer only to have him change completely to the fire/rescue truck.

you make it sound like these films are a student thesis film on the part of bay.

-for the most part the films are very good with naming character accurately.

Still don't understand how he made the Devastator mistake, yes I understand he admits it was a mistake now, but how in the world could someone make a mistake that big, (naming a tank the same name as a HUGE combiner)that right there alone showed that he knew little to nothing about the franchise. So again it wouldnt surprise me about him making up a name for the Ferarri instead of just naming him Hot Rod or even Mirage would make most happy. I just dont think he would put Hot Rod in knowing most would be assuming there would be a tie in to Rodimus Prime which prob inst going to happen in this film, because I will be shocked again if Optimus doesnt die in this one either. And yes I agree for the most part he tries to stay close to source, but just don't see why he didnt try to stay closer to the characters we all were expecting to be in the 1st and at least in the 2nd film. Glad he threw us a bone with Shockwave though and got him right from what we have seen so far, just hope he has a lot of screen time though.

I think that's just the nickname Bay came up with that he mentioned in that recent Collider interview.

Lets hope so, because after all the hype if that is his name I will be really pissed at Bay after giving him a pass so far this franchise.
 
I can't wait to find out which characters are in this. It has to be soon.
