The Dark Knight Rises The Official "What Do YOU Want in the Sequel?" Thread

I posted this in another thread, but I want an epic battle-of-the-martial-artists in the next film... Maybe between Deathstroke and Batman?

That said, I want Deathstroke to have separate voice and body actors, with the body actor being Ray Park. As for the voice actor, I'm not sure as of yet.

For Catwoman, I want something like this scene:

Except with no Break Dancing moves, and more Capoeira movies. I'd like for Catwoman to have a very agile form of martial arts training, much like Capoeira. I don't want all of the major fighting characters to have the same style (Batman uses the Keysi Fighting Method, which I'd LOVE to learn myself).

(Just so you know, Ray Park primarily uses Wushu and Shaolin Kung Fu, so he'd also have his own separate fighting style as Deathstroke.)

In no particular order......

A new batmobile.

The batcave.

The Jokers laugh (sampled from TDK)

Arkham cameos (as suggested by another poster)

A mention of Metropolis

Bane.

Agreed on all fronts. I am most looking forward to a fully fleshed out cave. Hopefully Nolan will realize that we can suspend our disbelief and he can give us a comic accurate cave.

Bane, Catwoman, Black Mask, Penguin and Nygma appearing.

Metropolis mentioned

Oliver Queen mentioned

Hugo Strange as a phyciatrist at Arkham

BATCAVE AND WAYNE MANOR!

Bat-vehicles

All loose ends on Joker round up, maybe Harley Quinn could appear.

Villain cameos as people in Arkhamor crooks

Flying Graysons mentioned

I agree with all those except for the last two. I'm not against mentioning Metropolis, but I don't see what for. And I never found Bane to be all that interesting.

Black Mask, Catwoman, and the return of Two-Face.

A new, non-tank-looking Batmobile(it was fun while it lasted, now it's time for something more classic and comic book-inspired.)

Wayne Manor fully rebuilt and restored.

The Batcave fully built (as hinted at the end of BB) and stored with more technological equiptment and gadgets (no dinosaur or joker card obviously-YET anyway.)

Bruce Wayne more morose than ever and Batman more frightening and foreboding than ever before.

Batman and Gordon secret meetings with out the batsignal (they could come up with a new and interesting way how they meet up)

Batman a fugitive from the police from film's beinning to end. (No restoration of public image Just Yet)

Obviously, Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman's return in their key roles, as well as Aaron Eckhart.

Jolie as Catwoman and Malcovich or Lewis as Black Mask.

(and one more Cillian Murphy ScareCrow cameo, at least one scene in Arkham and a mention of the Joker)

And i think all theese things are quite doable.

I know what I DON'T want and that's Bane, Killer Croc, Freeze, Clayface, Man-Bat and other outlandish villains who would not work in a Nolan movie. And no Two-Face.

I want Ventriloquist. There's no doubt that Nolan would be able to create some genuinely creepy psychological scenes between Wesker and Scarface. That would also go with this on-going mob theme just nicely.

And MAYBE Catwoman in order to spice things up a bit. But it would have to be something dramatically different when compared to Pfeiffer and Berry. It's pretty obvious that they are going to introduce a new female character now that Rachel is gone. So Catwoman or Talia are my top choices.

They also need to get back to basics when it comes to the bat suit. I don't care how they do it but they have to get rid of the new suit.

No more batpod. I mean it was kinda cool but tumbler is way cooler. I know they are feeling the pressure to introduce yet another new vehicle...just bring back the tumbler and give us another amazing action scene like the one in Begins!

And also bring back the bat cave somewhat redecorated. I want to see all kind of cool stuff in the cave.

I want to see some snow in Gotham City. Batman Returns already took place during winter time but I would also like to see Nolan's vision of snowy Gotham. I dunno...I just love snowy landscapes in movies.

Running time around 130-140 minutes.

Little less action, little more conversation. I want some amazing drama between the characters. I want those intense character moments and I want some well-written dialogue.

I know the 3rd movie is all about making things better but I like my Batman/Bruce Wayne sad, lonely, tormented and vengeful. I want those silent introspective moments.

I also want to see batman doing some patrolling for example in the beginning of the movie. I want some cool scene where he's preying some criminals. Maybe introduce some new detective gadgets. Those are always cool.

I dunno...I could probably go on and on. I'll just leave it to Nolan. I trust him! I believe in TDKR!

a version of the batmobile inspired by that of matt wagner's batman and the monster men.

and black mask.

he could restore his damaged lamborghini, paint it black, and add batwings. voila! batmobile!! i'd also like to see bats with his mask pulled back, with cape still attached.

I wouldn't mind him (batman) coming across a random cop named Denny Colt :)

More than anything else, I would like to see a fully fleshed out Batcave. Let's see everything, from the Bat Costume Vault to the Hydraulic Turntables, The Trophy room, Ramp Exits, The Central computer,, and maybe a quick shot of Two Face's coin englassed in a display case would be nice as well as a brief nod to the character.

No return of Two-Face (he's dead and gone), no new actor to play the Joker (no one else should play him in the Nolan/Bale films - he's rotting in Arkham and that's that). No Robin, and no foreshadowing of Robin.

I'd like to see Wayne Manor rebuilt and the Batcave fitted out as a training center and crime lab (no trophies, though, since I don't think they fit in with the tone of Nolan's Batverse or his characterization of Batman). I'd also like to see a new Tumbler, or perhaps a new Batmobile altogether.

For the plot I'd like to see Batman in full detective mode investigating a series of murders (while having to elude the police all the while). The villains I'd most like to see are the Riddler (perhaps a much darker serial killer version of the character), along with Poison Ivy (Nolanized as a seductive woman who murders with poison) or Harley Quinn (a much darker, psycho version in line with Ledger's Joker).

Nolan would be wise to focus more on Batman as a character in the new film instead of the villains attached. My idea is have an animalistic tone to the whole film involving Batman, Catwoman, Black Mask, and The Terrible Trio. This theme was used mildly in Batman Returns, but I think Nolan could make a great Freudian psychological thriller looking into why criminals and heroes revert to mythic animal figures in Gotham City. The simple title, “The Batman” would also be a good choice if this theme were to be used. It would almost be like the animal names and explanations used in the Metal Gear saga.

Nolan, Nolan, Goyer, Bale, Oldman, Caine, Freeman to return (Along with rest of crew)

Riddler

Catwoman

Possibly another villain who can provide a physical threat to Batman (Bane maybe)

Bruce crying at his parents grave (possibly caused by him seeing and stopping a mugging which mirrors his own parents murder?)

A good story

Proper Batcave

Wayne Manor Rebuilt

Preferably no Joker

I want all this.

1. Catwoman:
Marion Cotillard
She's the master jewel thief of Gotham City, and also the protector of the dangerous east side of Gotham. Lives there with her best friend Holly Robinson.

2. Selina Kyle
Meets Bruce Wayne at a charity (?) party, they start dating and fall in love. After she kill Black Mask she scapes, but Batman finds her, thinking he will never forgive her she tries to scape, but Batman knows that sometimes crime is the only way to fight crime, so he forgives her.

3.The Riddler
Casey Affleck
A genius that uses his intelectual habilities to kill people, leaving clues to Batman and Gordon's men.

4.Black Mask
Josh Brolin
New mob boss, and a freak. As Catwoman operates in the East End. At the end of the movie, he kidnaps Holly for Selina to find, but kills her when she arrives. Catwoman kills him and scapes in front of Batman.

ok drop the riddler serial killer gag if that were to happen the movie would go to **** because its basically copying the dark knight

I don't see how. The Joker spread chaos with brute violence, putting himself front and center. The investigation of murders, with the Riddler largely off screen and leaving riddles at each murder scene, would play out quite differently.
