Whatever happened to the promised "fallout" from House of M in regards to Spider-Man?

Five years ago I would have said "whatever happened to Kaine and Cardiac", who are among my favorite characters. Both thankfully both have been rescued from obscurity.

What about Chance? Has he appeared in anything recently? Or John Jameson? With JJJ getting such spotlight, you'd think he'd be seen more. Or Fusion, who I thought was a cool early 00's villain. Or Traveler? Or Delilah? But overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the respect being paid to old, previously neglected characters at the moment.

I can't really think of any significant subplots or storylines that were dropped, without at least a quick or crappy resolution. I think the biggest disappointment and cop-out remains the whole switching Baby May with Aunt May at the last minute and quickly writing out Kaine when he was taking on the Scriers during the post-clone saga era. Despite my dislike for OMD/BND, I still think the Byrne/Mackie reboot era is the ultimate low-point of the Spidey mythos.

As for House of M, meh. I mean, what is there to say about House of M? It was never really a Spidey storyline in the first place, just another bloated X-event. I think they considered bringing Gwen back and then scrapped it when they realized what a bad idea that was *knock on wood because I hear rumors they might float this idea again with TASM 2 coming out*

Ah, here I thought of one! Whatever happened to Spidercide? It seemed like he wasn't quite dead, but just in stasis at the end of the Maximum Clonage.

The Jackal joked about it during the (somewhat) recent Superior/Scarlet Spider crossover. He obtained a DNA sample from Kaine and said it he was going to use it for Spidercide 2.0 (facetiously if you ask me).

Whatever happened to the mysterious egg that appeared at the end of Marvel Team Up #55? (Bill Mantlo's last issue on that book)

I think that was covered in Sensational Spider-Man Volume 1, 13-17... The Savage Land Arc. Though it wasn't fully resolved.

Okay, I put on my nitpick hat and tried to think of a few things that have bugged me over the years... warning: obscure continuity ahead.

What was up with Looter's mysterious meteor thing from the Sensational Spider-Ben days?

What happened to MJ's sister and her nephews? They kinda pulled a Chuck Cunningham and just vanished.

If Alison Mongraine didn't have Baby May in the cart she wheeled outside to Norman Osborn at the end of the clone saga, then just what the hell was it and the "delivery" she talked about and why was she wheeling it out of the maternity ward? (again a testament to how awful the hasty rewriting to make the "package" Aunt May was.... thanks, Byrne)

Whatever happened to the gold note-pad Peter lifted from that building the Beyonder turned into solid gold? How come he never cashed in?

What is Mysterio's status? I haven't understood if he's alive, dead, what, since he returned after blowing off his head in Daredevil.

How did Morlun come back after being turned into green powder at the end of JMS's first arc? That was never really explained. He just got "better."

How does Peter know he's the REAL Peter Parker, just because Ben Reilly wasn't? And why did Reilly degenerate when perfect clones weren't meant to?

Wasn't the Vulture... and Eddie Brock... and I think Cletus Kassidy all dying of terminal cancer at one point (that seemed to get swept under the table as new writers took over)?

I could go on, but now I'm going away from unresolved plots into nitpick territory.

The Looter's Egg? Meteor? I mentioned above...
Kristy and everyone disappeared. I would've loved to have found out what Kristy thought of Peter being Spider-Man...
Peter threw away the notebook/pad.
Mysterio is stuck in the Ultimate Universe.
Morlun will probably be explained later this year when he comes back... again... ugh...
Vulture's rejuevenator fixed him.
Brock's White Venom cured him.
Kassidy was ripped in half and left in space. I'm not sure how he wound up alive and back on Earth...

I can field this one...

The "gold rush" storyline happened in Web of Spider-Man #6/Amazing Spider-Man #268... Where Peter took the gold notebook and kept it....

Until Web of Spider-Man #15, where he sold it to a fence for $3000... Even though it was valued at over $30 000.

The $3000 was donated anonymously to pay for Nathan Lubensky's hospital bills.

:yay:

I thought he donated it anonymously to Aunt May's group the Grey Panthers (or whatever they were called)....?

This was all covered in those string of Carnage mini series over the past few years. Some rival organization of Stark Industries found him and the symbiote separately and gave him cybernetic legs. At some point the symbiote healed him, I can't remember when.

In space, the symbiote wrapped itself around Cletus' upper torso and kept him alive...

What is strange is the story used for the return of Carnage was very similar to the return of Darth Maul storyline from Star Wars the Clone Wars animated series. Group keeps top half of body alive and attaches a robotic lower half.

Whatever happened to Toxin? Last I read, he had just left his wife and newborn child.

No.. He fenced it... It was supposed to be a "deal" at the time, because Spidey has never cashed in dishonestly since Uncle Ben's death... But since it happened in Web of Spider-Man, no one noticed...lol

One of those Carnage minis or the Venom series, the alien was removed from him by a group working for Mephisto's son and it is assumed the human half is dead. Eddie Brock has the alien the last I remember.

Not really a what happened to. But....
Was Gwen's mom ever mentioned in the books?

I'm pretty sure that she's NEVER been mentioned at all, but now that YOU brought it up, I'm sure that a light bulb has come on over either an editor's head or over Slott's... :o

Thats exactly what I was thinking. She was never mentioned.
But, right now, I don't feel like going through 98? issues...
