Iron Man 2 The Official Whiplash Thread

Yeah, but i still think his role is gonna be that of the secondary villain. I don't think Hammer's gonna just talk in this movie.
As long as he doesn't put on armor and fight Robert, I'll be fine with that. Frankly I'd like Hammer to get through the film some what intact so he could be used in the future.

Seeing Paltrow doing some action would be shocking to me :hehe:

^And kind of out of character for Pepper.

I think he'll be back for 3. That's how most comic book flicks work these days. And he doesn't have to don armour to fight Stark. Rockwells a younger man. I'd like to see him beat the **** out of an unarmoured Stark.

Seeing Paltrow do ANYTHING, except pout and condescend to people would be shocking to me. :yay:

That's what happens when you pay attention to stars offscreen. Suprise! They're just as annoying as everybody else.:cwink:

That's why I don't read People or watch TMZ.

Ugh, TMZ -- those people really deserve to.. wait, I'm not gonna get another infraction.

I still have no idea what to expect from Rourke in this role...plus what's the villian doing at Nascar?

He is sent to destroy Kyle Busch.

*snickers*

Back in the good o 616 days, Stark International did own a F-1 type racing team.
I hope we get a southern cal cameo by someone in the film. Iron Man once saved Larry Hagman's house on the side of a mountain range...."who?"

The Monaco Grand Prix is NOT Nascar. I doubt there would be any beer-gutted rednecks in the audience.

Whiplash just got more awesome. He has an cockatoo whom he talks and gets drunk with while in prison, making his armor.

That's cool. There's so much that I am curious about with his character. I'm not buying him being just an ordinary brute that builds a suit. I think he might be former KGB or something. That might also give him a connection to Black Widow.

He's allowed a pet while in a Russian prison?

The red's must be getting soft...

His name is Ivan Vanko, his "supervillain" name is Whiplash, and his nationality is Russian
