What the hell is wrong with his legs in that pic, it looks like the photoshopper just cut them off and made them fade/meld in with the ground. Pretty sloppy.

This not the final suit. This is the prototype much like The Mark I armor in the first film .

I've got Footbawl to keep me from spoiling tooo much bout part 2, the Whiplash in the 616 was an introspective guy, things didn't go his way, and I've got a couple of issues, where he damn near gives up, he's still a lunatic tho. Can't wait to hear some of his lines

In regards to the criticism of the legs in the pic, while I see what you're saying and definately agree with you that they look a little off *there has been a good foot of leg chopped off there somewheres - ooops ), some explanation can be given in the pics weve seen thus far of Rourke, in that he seems to be wearing those prison pants low as hell in the movie. At least low enough that you can tell he's clearly decided to go commando.

It's just his feet that appear to be missing, but that has more to do with the light and shadow and the fact that the top half of what I assume is a one-piece prison uniform is hanging from his waist, making it look like his legs should be longer.

Well how isn't it true? It was basically a big **** you to the general audiences. There was only a few things changed from the book, which would never appeal to a wide audience.

If your talking about why it failed at the box office then yea it wasn't JUST because it was made primarily for the fans, but that was a big reason for it.

Or maybe because it had no Comedian WITH A GIMP MASK!

I don't think we've discussed much about what we can speculate about what kind of villain Whiplash is going to be, charactization-wise. Based on the leaked SDCC footage I think he'll be more along the lines of Anton Chigurgh than something like Ledger's Joker. Any thoughts? Agree? Disagree?

Chigurgh was a hired gun, Rourke is getting revenge.

Yea I think he's character will be his own man. He does his own things to get his revenge. He won't be told what to do by nobody.

But...I wouldn't be surprised if he plays along with Hammer, PRETENDS to Hammer that he is controllable just so he can get the tools to defeat Stark.

I meant in the way they go about their villainy, not their underlying motives. Joker was just crazy from the word go. Chigurgh was a psycho as well but far more focused. I see Whiplash being more like this.
