With the toys being released i dont think he upgrades his suit.. personally i think the main baddies are the drones and whiplash is just a sub villain

They're losing people interest instead of building it. I completely forgot about Iron Man 2 until the trailer was released. Losing interest yet again.

lol.. what i mean is the armor whiplash in the new comics they have released.. i dont think he upgrades his armor i think he just stays with the same look with jumpsuit and whips.. this is based on the recent toys being released at the toy fair.. hes in one giant robot thing lol if thats the case then this sucks

This "Avengers Assemble" logo is on every Iron Man 2 package or promo. This is the way of Marvel Studios of preparing fans to the assembling of Avengers team.

Next year is going to be Thor, the year after next yeat is Captain America and in 2012, if my prognosis are right, will be assembling of the team. Though, I'm not sure when Ant-Man and Wasp movies will be released, because they're members of the original Avengers team too.

I also hope that's not what Whiplash will be in at the end of the film but I have a feeling it will be.

If you look at the past, there have been numerous films that have had toys come out that turned out to be fairly accurate.

Two examples. G.I. Joe, people were saying that it was just for the toy that Cobra Commander would have that squid like mask which he ended up getting near the end of the film. Xmen Origins: Wolverine, same thing in regards to Deadpool. People saw the figure with the glowing eyes, sewn up mouth and Baraka blades and sat there in disbelief.

I won't believe in that toy design 100% but I'm leaning in the direction that there's a good chance it will be in the film.

I doubt the ED 209 mech is in the movie. The toy suggests it appears at the racetrack and I think we would know by now if that was the case.

Yeah but to be honest, although the toys can get the look down, sometimes they do their own thing when it comes to the setting. Look at some of the TDK toys and the background areas they made to use for the figures to be placed in. There not always exactly like the movie.

I know movie Whiplash is a mix of the comic character and Crimson Dynamo but that contraption looks too bulky. I know Favreau probably didn't want a similar suit like Iron Monger but I would have preferred it over that mech vehicle thing.

Oh well, if this turns out to be true at least Rourke seems like he will turn in a pretty damn good, sinister performance...love that laugh of his in the trailer.

That's what I said in my first post, that that will most likely be his upgraded armor in the film. In my second post, that you just quoted, I was talking about that upgraded armor being used during the race track scene. I was saying that I don't think the upgraded armor will be used during the race track scene but in a scene later on.
