Iron Man 2 The Official Whiplash Thread

becuase a short fight can be anticlimactic, you wait all movie for the final fight, and it lasts two minutes? id be disapointed too if i didnt see the whole final fight regardless of participatns as one big finale
Length of scene isn't what makes something climactic.

Never go full ******.

dont call me a ****** moron

and it can be, it can, if a whole movie builds up to something, ud expect it to be logn and fantastic as they push the suits to the limit of performance to defeat each other

See, it's annoying when n00bs reply.

Now you understand where I was coming from with Maximillian.

And I don't understand why people are still calling Whiplash's second battle anti-climatic. It was short, yes, but as a whole, including the drones, it was, in a greater sense, epic. Plus, the way they stopped Whiplash was from something that Tony and Rhodey ended up achieving earlier in the film. It was just lucky that they did win that battle because of their own battle earlier.

i didnt say it was anti climactic all i said was that i wished it wouldve been longer so i could so more of what Whiplash could do in the new suit. i liked the ending and i understand that the drones and all that were all part of the final fight and Whiplash was the end boss but it wouldve been nice to see him duke it out a little longer.

The only little addition I would have wanted with the finale battle is maybe having Iron Man be taken out of the game for a little bit and having War Machine fight Whiplash, and THEN Iron Man will join again and then they defeat the villain.

that sounds good, wouldnt been cool to see jsut WM fight on his own agaisnt a baddy

No, but I think a group of new drones(I would call them Mini Whippies...just an addition of drones that resembles Whiplash's new suit would be pretty sweet. And they would be human-sized drones for once.) could have intervened and Tony takes cares care of them while we get a minute or two of just Whiplash vs War Machine.

Why is it an issue to have wanted the face to face battle between the hero and villain last a bit longer? I understand the logic of the short fight with the weapons involved but it's a matter of entertainment preference. I personally would have wanted the drone battle be shorter and the Whiplash fight longer.

Why would WM fight Whiplash though? I really doubt Iron Man would be like "nah I'll take the mini-drones, you take out the guy specifically trying to kill me for revenge, kthx". If anything, WM would have to take on the mini-drones. I don't think Whiplash would even bother with WM.

To me it was anti-climatic. No offense to those who enjoyed it.

Newest set of TV spots are showing Whiplahs V2, anyone else catching them?

I think it would have been great if both had been able to have a little go on their own, it would hammer home the fact that Iron Man cant do this all alone, and prove that WM is a worthy helper.

I do agree with others that the fight was incredibly anti-climactic, the whole movie built up to it and it lasted for about 30 seconds.

"Yeah all those bells and whistles are real subtle" or something like that.

That reminds me that i loled when Whiplash lands for the final fight, opens his helmet and says:
"Good to be back" (alluding to Stark's first line at the Expo?)

And Rhodey says:
"Oh this aint gonna be good!"
:hehe:

he did say that? :oldrazz: must have missed it...

I didn't mind the length of the end fight, but when he kept pulling off his helmet to talk I had flashbacks of the Venom fiasco:doh:
