Mego joe....
This. Is. Wrong.
You know what I'm talking about.
The problem is no one else knows what you are talking about.![]()
What if the next Superman film were to start with an established Superman who doesn't know his Kryptonian heritage yet. Supergirl arrvies in an updated telling of her original origin spiced up with elements from her re-introduction in SUperman/Batman a few years ago. Use Brainiac as the villain and adapt the recent Braniac story from Action Comics in which Supergirl tells Superman all about Brainiac and Krypton's destruction, thus allowing SUperman to learn about his heritage and origin as well as giving Supergirl an interesting back story.
This would combine a number of elements that it seems fans want- Brainiac, established Superman and a flashback origin, but also critical to the Brainiac story at hand. It might seem like a lot especially including Supergirl, but I think it would definitely something different that we haven't seen before in a film.
Better spell it out, 'cos I don't.
Hmmm, I can't say I'm altogether keen on this as a movie concept. I think we need a solid reintroduction of Superman himself, without adding Supergirl into the mix. In addition, the idea of Supergirl filling Superman in on his backstory has occurred already in Smallville.
I think I'd like the film to start on old Krypton, an exotic planet (before environmental disaster rendered it an icy/crystalline wasteland). An entity or two would be responsible for its destruction - enter Brainiac and maybe another being. The hurling of the island into space in SR would alert such beings to kryptonian material (and thus a remaining Kryptonian) existing on Earth.
I think he's saying that the title could be...misinterpreted, or ridiculed. I know my mind went to the gutter when I read it. Anyway, I'd rather not have Supergirl or any other superheroes help Superman in the next movie. Let Supes stand on his own.
Not a sequel to SR! No, no!

I really like the idea personally. Good thinking.
I think what Knight is referring to is the title, I thought you were posting about an adult video.

I have always thought it would be neat if Clark Kent became Superman BEFORE he knew his Kryptonian heritage.
I wouldn't mind this take. Both John Byrne's "Man of Steel" and "Lois and Clark" used this angle and it worked pretty well.
I'm also intrigued by the approach Geoff John's is using in his upcoming new Superman origin. Not a single issue takes place on Krypton and we experience the story through Clark's point of view.
