yea but maybe they were not really wb picks and the rumors of superman and batman casting was one of the issues they were trying to get fixed along with the script, tax break issues.

We will probably never know for sure what was going down pre strike. Maybe if the film does happen later this yr they have some behind the scenes going downs on the dvd.

They should have doubled everyone's salary in TDK and just filmed the third one back to back... I mean they had to forsee this... TDK didn't go into production till after SR came out... then they wold have had a DC movie in 09... JLA by 2012 easily... possibly with the same cast... now its too late. And we are stuck with Armie Hammer, who most posters on these boards are as old as... and DJ Cotrona... so sad... I just can't see how Miller is going to lure two big time actors to take these roles... he's going to go to TV shows again to find his leads even if he decides to make a change from what it is now.

Well actually we dont know if for sure hammer and catrona were indeed supes and bats for the film pre delay. And if the film does get back up in the coming months its doubtful they will still be in the film if they were cast, i do hope if they were cast they are not coming back and the bats and supes roles are recast with atless people a little older, more experienced and has the looks for the characters.

Yea I just really hope if the film does happen gale, brody, common stay i was fine with those three. Yes gale isnt the best choice for ww and i would have liked someone with more acting experience but i will reserve judgement on her to i see some footage of her in action. As for the whole catrona/hammer deal i do hope they were never going to be bats and supes and if the film gets back on track that better looking/acting people come on board for the roles.

Who knows what is happening. As someone said before wb's 08/09 film slate is due in a few days so if jla isnt on their list of films for 08/09 start then we will have to wait a few yrs probably to see it happen. I am crossing my fingers we get it to start filming this yr. As i said its just a dam waiting game right now.

Just because we aren't hearing about it doesn't mean the movie is dead.

It could be weeks or months before we hear any new rumors or confirmations.

I understand completely how Hollywood works. I've seen projects like this fall so much deeper into production, it's not as if it's some wild theory that basement fanboys have concocted. It's my opinion and has been from the beginning. I am just standing by that. If the movie happens, then it happens.

Rumors say it start filming in the end of the year.

We'll see about it in a few weeks, when Warner Brothers reveal their schedule for 2008 and 2009.

The voice of reason as always, Guard. I don't think this movie is dead yet. If anything, it will probably benefit from the delay. The script can be revised, budget can be adjusted, some recasting wouldn't be too bad. etc.

Cotrona is too short, not too young, but too short. I don't know the exact height, but I bet he's shorter than 6''. But, in Superman Returns, they used lifts in his boots to make him taller, I imagine they'll do the same in JL, if he's still part of the cast of course.

Batman shouldn't be 6'5'' though, that's way too tall IMO. Christian Bale isn't even that tall, he's like 6'1''.

Then you got to think, Armie Hammer and D.J. Cotrona won't be an issue IF Batman and Superman aren't even in the movie anymore. Or, if the JL is indeed dead, none of this will be an issue at all.

Yea they are both wrong for bats and supes in the film but if/once the film starts up again we dont even know if they will still be apart of the film or not. Wb might decide to drop them if they listen to us fans(yea i know they dont listen to us fans all the time). Then try to find some better actors who look the parts more.

Everything I've read about Cotrona has said that he's 5'9. That's way too short.

But my main problem isn't even his height. This guy just doesn't look like Superman at all. Superman should look strong, noble, and pure. DJ Cotrona looks like some shady creep who wants to sell you some pot. Then I look at his unimpressive acting resume and really have wonder what the WB sees in this guy, the way I wonder about the rest of the supposed JLA cast.

6'5 is too tall, and is made even worse by the supposed Superman actor being as short as Cotrona. And like everyone else on this horrible cast, Armie Hammer has no acting cred and lacks the look as well.

Then you got to think, Armie Hammer and D.J. Cotrona won't be an issue IF Batman and Superman aren't even in the movie anymore.

If Superman and Batman aren't going to be in this movie, then the WB shouldn't even bother.
