They were dying... w/e...

if we questioned all the flaws in these movies we would drive ourselves crazy

And Pete never wondered how his best friend's dad became a super-strong glider-riding wacko.

Anyway, I don't think it would be sensible for them to ask that under those circumstances.

EDIT: Why would Norman reveal his advantage (knowing Peter's secret identity) just to learn how he got his powers?

Sure it would. Couldn't you imagine the scene with Peter and Norman having coffee, discussing how they got their powers? It would be Oscar worthy.

well they were both insane and busy fighting, when they finally encountered spider-man.

ock dodges punch: "by the way"
throws punch: " how'd you get those powers and nifty costume"

I'm sure prior to that they probably did wonder.

who cares?

nah it is important, from a screenwriters perspective we have to think about all the aspects of a characters life, and every conversation must be logical and natural, and when issues such as this are not brought up it detracts from the naturalisation of the characters and makes their problems less relevant. So when 2 brilliant scientists such as Doc Ock and Norman Osbourne are not curious about how their enemy recieved such scientifically brilliant abilities it seems strange, however the reason it was not brought up within the films as of yet, i feel is purely due to the situations these characters have interacted in e.g. doc ock only knew it was peter when he was dynig and norman could not reveal his identity

Umm well given the circumstances there was no time. For green goblin he died the next day. He didnt want to reveal himself then.

Doc ock died the next 10 minutes after finding out petes secret. And at the moment had more important matters.

So how is this a flaw when knowing how pete obtained his powers is irrelevant in the time given.

Now mary jane and harry not asking is something to think about.

so in other words....who cares?

as is half the new york public who were on the train, jesus does anyone not know who spider-man is now?

well we only got one scene with harry knowing who pete is, and it was a lot to take in.

MJ? give it time, I'm sure she'll ask.

Yeah...

Peter: So, hard day at work Norman?
Norman: Like you wouldn't believe. So i decide to try this green stuff on myself because of all the pressure, you know? Next thing I know I'm flying around in this happy-go-lucky faerie suit. Weird stuff.
Peter: Tell me about it. Like that other day on the field trip. That spider comes down and goes "TAG". So then I'm it. The spider, I mean...

i mean...what do yo guys want? did you want ock to stop the train fight and be like, "wait! wait!...how did you get your powers?" "well, i was on a field trip..."

no. doesn't work that way. end of story.

"how did you get your powers spiderman?"

...

"two words:...radioactive spider"

whats this have to do with the third movie....move it to another thread

I think Norman should've kill Peter at the dinner, along with Aunt May and MJ, slaps Harry if he started to be a dumbass and be the biggest villian in the whole NYC.
That prove that he's awesome.
