After watching it in action
10/10 for this costume
No problem with that minor nitpick or another I may have with it, it's gone
The small hole above the spider on the back similar to the one in the first ASM costumeJust out of pure curiosity, what were your nitpicks?

And the McFarlane belt
if they change anything for future movies, i would maybe give the suit muscle shading.
also, this is just incredibly nostalgic:

if they can find a way to have the new eyes (which look perfect) without the need for the facial shell under the mask (which makes spidey's head look bigger), then i'd be all for that as well.

I suggest Ultimate Spider-Man for you, easy to follow and a great read
But be warned from now, it has the annoying thing of villains seeing Peter's face
The idea interests meThe new suit is...awesome. Perfect as is.
My only nitpick is that I would have liked it if they had come up with a way to incorporate the gloves from TASM suit into this classic look. The gloves in TASM are one of the re-design elements that I thought looked really cool.

I think the reason why whoever is in the suit looks thin is because this may be the first time I remember a super hero costume not having a muscle layer underneath. What you see is really their bodies. And of course, not everyone is gonna be as built as Henry Cavill so they're gonna look thin w/o a muscle layer. (Not to mention Spidey shouldn't be portrayed that muscular imo)by muscle shading do you mean this

as compared to this

i thought it was supposed to happen naturally, and garfield just ain't cut enough yet for the muscles to show
unless it is an actual suit. is it?
I have never read the comics of Spider-Man but I have seen many pics from various sites and am glad that they decided to go with the classic costume for this movie. Love those eyes!![]()
they do look like seams.
yeah I also though the design of the webbing in the second costume may be raised webbing like Raimi's version is but the design of the webbing itself matches the first Webb costume webbing(well at least the upper half of the webbing) to me. It looks like a perfect meld of Mark Bagley ultimate Spider-man costume, the Raimi suit and the first ASM Costume.

so it didn't have anything to do with the comparison in the the pictures i posted? because honestly, I don't see a difference in shading between the asm1 and asm2 costumes...yeah, by muscle shading i meant ala the first amazing spider-man suit. i would be really keen to see what this new suit looked like with it. i don't want padding underneath or anything.
Right. Some people dig that. But they already attempted that body type with the Raimi series. Bring on the youthful, lanky Spidey which we have now.why not? I think it's perfectly fine, if not better. If he's like that in the comics every now and then by all means he can be like that in the films too
