The one thing I don't get about Bruce Wayne...

There are some fans that call Batman (or at least Bruce) immature, childish or "man-child". Why do they think that? If he didn't grow up he wouldn't be a father figure to the Robins. In the JLU series he once said "I stopped being a kid when I was 8 years old."

How is Bruce Wayne/Batman immature?

Maybe they think he's immature because he puts on a costume and fights crime?

Or the fact that he just can't get over his parents death. After years and years you'd think he'd finally accept and come to peace with it.

I'm not one of those people. I've loved batman since I was 5 and I'm 28 now and love him just as much if not more than ever. So maybe I'm immature too lol

You kinda hit the nail on its head. The reason I don't believe that Bruce Wayne is childish is because when his parents died he grew up quickly than most kids his age (at least that's what I think).

He isn't childish or immature but there is a part of him that is still that young boy who experienced a life altering tragedy. It's not something he can completely let go of because it fuels Batman's existence in a significant way. That's why he's able to have such a rapport with Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, and others; he's an orphaned child just like them.

The reason I came up with this thread is that I listen to a video on how Bruce never grew up:

I believe that he's is more of an emotionally stunted child than an immature adult.
