A couple believes their house to be haunted, so they set up cameras around their house to try and capture the ghost on film. The movie is edited footage of what they filmed.

A review from Variety called the movie better than the Blair Witch Project. I thought the movie was good so Ill probably like this one.

This movie was great. Definitely tops the first one. And thank goodness for a great crowd who was as into the movie just as much as I was. Everybody was on jump mode. It was beautiful.

What was scratched on that door leading to the basement though?

After Kristi is dragged down into the basement, she's down there for ever. Being possessed, and then the next day, while Ali is walking around, she opens the door and sees all the scratch marks and everything. And she mentions that some of the scratches look like letter, but she's unable to read them. Looked like it could have been either "HELP" or "MELK" ... though "MELK" doesnt make any sense, it's why I'm so curious at the same time lol

I just saw this movie for the first time, I just never got around to seeing it in the theaters and it recently released so I thought I'd give it a chance. Watching it at home really enhances that feeling that you're viewing security cam footage. I thought it was pretty decent. I watched it with a group of friends and we had fun with it.

Just picked up PA2 on Blu Ray today. I enjoyed the first one and have been looking forward to checking out part 2.

I'm most excited about the fact that the Catfish guys are doing this. Also, that Bloody Mary bit was awesome.

Overall I really enjoyed Catfish. It wasn't what I expected it to be, but I wound up enjoying the story. For me it's the way those guys build up the tension in their films. That scene where they go to the barn at night was crazy tense.

Are they saying Bloody Mary is the demon attacking the sisters ? Or Bloody Mary starts attacking the sisters & then someone in the family makes a deal with another demon to stop Bloody Mary ?

The format is what will keep this franchise alive.
The minute they make it a "real" film with fancy cinematography and music, it will all go downhill. Example: Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows.

Paranormal Activity is the most unique horror series in years, and yes, it's far superior to Saw in every way.

Meh, a prequel doesn't intrigue me but I don't really see how the plot can move forward either. They should just move away from Katie's story. We already know how this ends.

The 2nd film was a prequel of the first. The end was the sequel. And I thought the 2nd was much better than the 1st. Can't wait for this!

Color me excited. This franchise gets a lot of hate but I dig jump scares when done well. And the tension/anxiety is just unreal; especially in PA2

I enjoyed the first two films quite a bit. I actually think the second one was a little better because it was bit more complex. Hopefully this will be good, too.

The first movie had a budget of just $15,000 and earned $193.4 million worldwide, while the second cost $3 million to make and earned another $177.5 million worldwide
