My preferred is H78, H2, H20 specifically due to my fondness of the original and H2.
I have no idea about the innerworkings of the writing stage but I do think things and characters from Ends should've been set up in the previous films. It would've been a much tighter trilogy with a clear focus.Speaking of Ends, how much of it do you think was changed/re-written due to the COVID delays?
I know we heard of some extra attention and tweaks being made to the script, however I took that as more of a fine-tuning rather than re-writes.
Do you think the DGG trilogy arc was always intended to play out as it did?
That's my thought as well. Ends wasn't necessarily an organic follow-up to H18 and HK. At least, not in my opinion. I think the idea of Corey would've been more attractive had the character had time to marinate over the span of the three films as you said.I have no idea about the innerworkings of the writing stage but I do think things and characters from Ends should've been set up in the previous films. Right, exactly. They also had the perfect set up for future Halloween films with Corey/The Shape if they wanted to. That character was really interesting and they could keep the iconic mask. That's my thought as well. Ends wasn't necessarily an organic follow-up to H18 and HK. At least, not in my opinion. Halloween video games and John Carpenter is involved. Sold.
I love video games based on the horror franchises. I really enjoyed Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Watched about five minutes of Halloween Kills on TV earlier. Forgot how utterly baffling every single thing about this movie is.
Like, I remember how jazzed I was when it was announced they were bringing back the surviving supporting cast of the original film. And then it’s just like… hey what if we just make them an even dumber version of the lynch mob from H4? And then kill most of them unceremoniously?
And then keep Laurie in bed for most of the film, because that’s certainly an element of Halloween II that deserves a reprisal/homage.
The best part of Halloween Kills is the 1978 scene.
Let's attack Michael one-on-one and not make sure he's dead. Also let's throw in random homophobia.Watched about five minutes of Halloween Kills on TV earlier. Forgot how utterly baffling every single thing about this movie is.

Honestly, when the gay couple that moves into your old house is as annoying as these two were, I’m not going to hold much of a grudge against Michael for taking them out.Let's attack Michael one-on-one and not make sure he's dead. Also let's throw in random homophobia.
It's just not spooky season without this GIF making the rounds again.
